Saw something in the news today related to Diana. Asked my 11 year old if she know who she was and she said no. I feel old. Her ending, so sad, I flew into London the morning she died and heard about it on talk radio after waking from a brief nap.

My parents, both being from the Commonwealth of Nations, always talked about her when I was growing up. They made sure I knew who she was, all the wonderful things she did, etc. They made me feel like she was one of my family members who had died.

I remember getting up very early to watch her wedding to Prince Charles. What a transformation she made from that awkward school girl into the amazing woman she was.
Goodness like that does not die. I'm sure she is watching over her sons today.

I remember the day she died vividly, it was mine and dh's first anniversary. I think of her every year on that day. My dd12 knows who she, is but my 2 dses don't.
Initial reports in the wee hours of the morning said that she had only broken her arm and was fine...
It was Labor Day weekend & we were at the lake in a cabin-watching TV at night. the news flashed on the screen and all the channels went to the story . I stayed up very late watching it, So sad
Interesting, I don't remember that report at all. From the moment they broke the news in the Seattle area it was always that it was a very very bad accident and people were not OK..
