After 3 crazy days, we were exhausted, no doubt! We still had around 1.5 days left though and decided to make the most of it! Today we mainly focused on seeing the parades again and riding the rides we missed along the way.

Cast Members: Just a school buddy of mine, Jason and myself. He is 21 and I am 22 (still very young at heart though)

DAY 4:

We ended up sleeping in a bit today, because we were both tired and our feet were hurting pretty badly. I actually woke up at 7am, but then tried getting up and ended up back in bed. I woke up at 8am and woke Jason up at 8:30am. We then got ready and headed back to DL. We got to Disneyland at about 9:15am and the line was really long, taking about 20 minutes to get into the park! I was dreading the worst as I realized today was Saturday and figuring how packed the park would be. Once inside the park, we noticed that Mary Poppins was posing with a cute penguin (I love penguins!) and the chimney sweep guy (I forgot his name). I quickly got in line, but as soon as I did, they took the penguin away! Ahhh! I guess it was his break time, but when asking if he would come back, the CM said "Maybe". DOH! Then, I realized that the batteries in my camara were dead! So, we had to get out of line and run over to the nearest store to get some batteries! On the way back, the DL band started playing so Mary Poppins and the chimney sweep guy left and ran after the band! I guess once the music starts playing they have to go dance around. :( Oh well.

It was pretty crowded so we figured to grab some fast passes for Space and grab some breakfast. We went over to the Riverbelle Terrace in New Orleans Square. There was a pretty long line and it took about 20 minutes to get up to the place where you order! Luckily the line was inside as opposed to outside, so we weren't frying. Jason and I both ordered the Steamboats which came with three pancakes, scrambled eggs, and choice of bacon or sausage. Once our order was taken, we moved down a serving area where we could watch our pancakes being made. We then took our trays and tried finding a seat inside. Unfortunately, they were all taken, so we had to sit outside. Syrup was provided on each table as were salt and pepper. The breakfast was very good though and really filling. I wasnt able to eat everything.

Once breakfast was done, we went over to Space. I'm not sure why, but we always managed to make a habit of riding Space after eating. Luckily the ride doesn't make you dizzy. Haha! On the way to get on Space, we ran into someone that was giving away their Fastpasses! They said they were leaving the park early and wouldnt be using them. So, we were able to ride Space back-to-back! Awesome! I ended up really liking the way one of the pictures turned out, plus we were in the front rocket car, so I bought it. It was $12.95 for a 5x7, what a great momento! We then decided to get fastpasses for Splash Mountain. Jason was a little hesitant, but decided to anyways. We had to come back in about 45 minutes, so we just shopped around a bit. I found this really nice crystal shop in New Orleans Square and found this really cute little pig sculpture for my b/fs mom (she adores pigs). I was also noticing how similar all the stores are when it comes to Disneyland merchandise. Almost every store you go to will have the exact same items! It kinda becomes difficult to find something really unique! The crystal shop was different. There are also some holiday shops selling Christmas ornaments, etc. We hung out here for a while and then headed back to Splash.

When boarding Splash, there was a family sitting in front of us with a little boy that was terrified to ride. It was sad because he wasn't crying, but he was pouting and it was cute to hear his dad comforting him. He was saying, "I'll be holding you tight to make sure nothing will happen to you". Too cute! Then when the drop came, he screamed a little, but then told his dad that he was right and that it wasnt too bad. :) Jason screamed like a dying chicken again, but at this point in the trip, I was used to it! There was a bit of a traffic jam at the end of the ride as we were all bumping into other boats. The dad then turned around to us and said, "Kinda like LA traffic". Haha! Then, when getting off the ride, we were excited to see our pictures, but unfortunately, since there was a delay in the boats being unloaded, our photo was gone by the time we went to view it. Bummer! I had done a cool pose where I was showing my muscles (or lack thereof)!

After this, we were able to get on Haunted Mansion with about a 10 minute wait. This ride is always fun. We did have some teenagers though that thought it was cool to recite the whole narrators speal while in the room. I always enjoy the dancing scene on this ride as well as the graveyard area. We were also able to spot a hidden Mickey and the part at the end it always interesting. After this, we saw that there was going to be an improv show outside the Golden Horse in about 15 minutes, so we decided to catch that as I LOVE improv comedy! It was wayyy fun! It was a show about the Mayor of Frontierland trying to pawn his daughter off to 3 eligible bachelors from the audience. I volunteered Jason to be one of them! The girl was a guy dressed up as a girl which came out only after the guys were blindfolded. The girl(guy) proceeded to ask the bachelors a series of questions to see which one she liked the best. I wont go into too much detail for those of you that want to be surprised by the show. It was hilarious though, a must-see!

At this point, we headed over to Main Street to catch the Parade of Dreams again. It was about 2:30pm and we wanted to get there early enough of get a good spot right on the curb out of the sun. I had also promised myself to get a Gibson Girl ice cream from the parlor at least once on this trip and I thought now would be the perfect time as we were just going to be waiting for the parade to begin. It always smells soooo good walking by with the smell of freshly made waffle cones. That, the candy shop, and the bakery are some of the best smells in DL! OH, and churros, of course! The line was really long! I usually noticed it is quite long mid-afternoon and upon closing of the park. I waited about 25 minutes and eventually ordered my mint chocolate chip double scoop in a waffle cone. It was Dreyers ice cream, but the waffle cones definately added to the originality of this treat. Mmmm, talk about hitting the spot on a hot day! While I was getting my ice cream, Jason was finding a good spot to watch the parade. We found a great spot in the shade and we were able to sit right on the curb.

It was better the 2nd time watching the parade as we were much closer and had a way better spot than the first time. Unfortunately, they were missing floats!!! The Lion King float and the ending Mickey float were missing in action! There were a lot of disappointed people around us that were saying, "Wow, that was short" and "where were the other floats???" I was hoping on catching the full parade again, but I guess they had some technical problems. Awww... :(

After this, we headed over to DCA to catch this other improv show called D.U.H (Department of Untapped Hilarity). This was another great one! Jason was also used as a volunteer! This show was more like Who's Line is it Anyway (my fav show), so I loved it! They would take suggestions from the audience and use them in the show. I was surprised because there were only about 10 people watching the show. I thought it was great and figured that more people would be wanting to watch it. After the show, Jason talked with the main comedian and she informed us that the show was going to be cancelled next month. How sad! :( It was awesome! The show was only about 30 minutes long, so we ran to grab some fast passes for Grizzly Rapids (which we havent ridden yet).

I wanted to catch the Block Party Bash again, so we decided to head over to the first party zone. I went to buy a strawberry frozen lemonade to eat while watching the parade. These are awesome on a hot day! We found a good spot and it was announced that the BPB was only going to stop once today (due to the heat I'm assuming), so there were wayyy more people than usual (because usually, they are all spread out throughout the parade route, but since the show would only be stopping once, instead of the usual 3 times, they all wanted to catch that stop). It was great as before! I kinda felt bad for the dancers though as they were sweating up a storm! I definfately felt bad for the characters in the costumes! Imagine how hot Sully must have been from Monsters Inc! AHHHHH!

After the Block Party Bash, we realized that since we caught the first (and only) stop, we could catch Aladdin at 6:00pm. It was about 5:40 at the time so we headed that way. Jason was kinda not wanting to see the show, but I convinced him that I had heard great reviews about it. We got in line for the top section of the Hyperian theater. We were seated at about 5:50 and sat in the theater for the 15 minutes before the show started. There were some very friendly English folks behind us that were asking where I got my ears (I was wearing my golden Minnie ears). The woman with the group said she had not seen the Minnie ones with the bow and wanted to buy those. They were very friendly and we engaged in conversation before the show began. Once the show started, Jason and I were in awe! It was amazing! A broadway quality show! Now, I adore Aladdin, so I may be a little biased, but Jason seemed to really enjoy the show as well as everyone around us. The genie is hilarious! They added a lot of current humor to the show and the carpet was great too! It was interesting to see how they pulled off the carpet and Iago. It was a great show though, very magical! Take the time to catch this if you can!

Once Aladdin had ended, we headed over to Grizzly Rapids to use our fast passes. This was an interesting adventure. I was really nervous about getting my Space Mountain picture wet, so I made sure to double bag it and Jason put it under his shirt to be sure it wouldnt get wet. We ended up getting on the boat with an Asian family. I was sitting next to the Dad (Im assuming) and across from the mom and the sister while Jason sat next to me and across from the son. Well, the Asian women ended up getting soaked! It was quite funny (I hate to say) to see their expressions when they were getting wet. It was like they didnt expect to get wet on this ride! Haha! They did get soaked horribly though. Also, at one point in the ride, you go down this drop, and you rotate, so you dont know until the beginning of the drop who will get unlucky and get the most wet at the bottom of the drop. Well, I ended up to be that person and I needed something to grab onto, so without thinking, I ended up grabbing onto the back of the Asian man next to me! He just looked at me with the weirdest face and I was just imagining what he was thinking! I was soooo embarrassed! I really squeezed him! HAHA!!! So, once the ride was over, I bee-lined outta there and told Jason. He thought it was the funniest thing.

After this ride, we decided to head back to the hotel and change due to the fact that we were both pretty wet. We figured we'd have enough time to go home, change, and head back to DCA to catch the Electrical Lights Parade once again. He had mentioned stopping by McDonalds to eat before hitting the hotel. I wasnt really feeling McDonalds so I stopped at the Bakers' Field Bakery in DCA and picked up a ham sandwhich, Doritos, and their "signature brownie" (which was a brownie topped with what seemed like the German Chocolate Cake coconut icing). I grabbed it "to go" and we headed off to the hotel after making a quick stop to grab Jason some dinner at McDonalds.

Once we were fed and changed, we headed back over to DCA for the ELP! I ended up taking my brownie because I was too full at the time to eat it. We found a great spot to enjoy the parade and once it started we were in awe once again. This is such a great parade and the music just makes you feel so happy. Unfortunately, Jason noticed that some of the floats were having sound problems and some of the music kept cutting in and out. This wasn't too big of a problem as we still enjoyed the parade. After the parade, we headed back to Disneyland to enjoy one more night...(we'd be leaving the next day Sunday at about 2pm).

As soon as we got to DL, we grabbed some fastpasses for Indiana Jones. The fastpass comeback time was surprisingly early for a Saturday. It was a 45 minute window. We figured all the fastpasses would be out by then. We did some shopping in the meantime and picked up some things. I had seen a cute little parisol cart in New Orleans square and thought that would be a great gift for all (3) of my sisters. They put your name on the parisols with some floral designs. I asked how long it takes to put the designs on the parisols and was told it takes about 2 hrs to dry once the designs are painted on. I told her I'd be back the next day since it was too late today. We then headed to Space Mountain to grab some Fast passes since our 45 minute window was over for Indy. We then rode Indy, but something was wrong. The large ball that comes towards you at the end of the ride was stuck! It was all the way on the bottom! So, it didn't roll down, and it looked weird. At first, my heart stopped as I thought, "Wait a minute, something isnt right" and my second thought was that the ball was going to continue to roll towards us off the track! AHHH, imagine that??? Luckily, the ride continued as normal and we were fine. *Sigh* Jason told the CM working the ride when we were exiting about the ball and she responded with an "I know". Hmm....ok.

We then decided to do a little more shopping while we waited to use our Space fast passes. The crowd was insane! It was time for Fantasmic and let me tell you, I have NEVER seen so many people in my life! I'm just glad we were able to navigate around the HUGE crowd. Normally, the Fantasmic area is roped off and the crowd is in front of the rope. Today, the crowd was in front of the rope, behind the rope, and all the way to the buildings! It was nuts! We tried to stay out of that area and I was glad I had seen Fantasmic on a weekday the first day we were there. We eventually headed back to Space to ride and then back over to Indy to catch before we left. There was quite a bit of a line on Indy, but we wanted to see if they had fixed the ball! Unfortunately, they didn't! Wamp wamp!

It was about 11:45 at this point, so we decided to call it a night. Upon leaving, we went into some of the Main Street shops and decided on any other things that we needed to buy. I ended up getting Mickey coffee for my b/fs dad and a Mickey Steamboat snowglobe for his sister. I also picked up a huge chocolate chip cookie and a hot cocoa (my fav) for the trip back to the hotel from a small bakery on the left side of Main Street when you're headed for the entrance. It was inside a store that sells Disney items for your home like a Mickey waffle maker, plates, silverware, etc.

Upon arriving at the hotel, as I ate my cookie (probably the best cookie I've ever had) and drank my hot cocoa, I was kinda sad, because I knew this would be my last night at DL. :( I was glad that I got most of the things done that I wanted to do, but it was kinda a bittersweet feeling.

Last day....Day 5 coming up....
