OK, fun so far...we were exhausted after day 1...but here comes day 2...today we had reservations for Medieval times at 6:30pm and planned to hit the Wax Museum and Ripley's Believe it or Not before Medieval times.

Cast Members: Just a school buddy of mine, Jason and myself. He is 21 and I am 22 (still very young at heart though)

Day 2:

We started out the day nice and early again. We woke up at 7 (which wasn't easy after the crazy day we had before). We got ready and were at the entrance to DL by 8:05 ish. There was a line to get in, but it was moving rather quickly. Once inside, we ran over to Big Thunder Mountain and were able to ride it twice back to back! There was no line whatsoever! Then, we headed over to Buzz with a 10 minute and then Star Tours with a 5 minute wait. We then got fast passes for Space Mountain.

On the way back from getting our fast passes, we saw this guy walking with a HUGE cinnamon roll. I assumed he got that from the Blue Ribbon bakery on Main Street, so we headed that way. There was about 10 people in line, but the line was moving quickly and you got to see all the yummy baked goods being made as you wait. Jason and I each got a cinnamon roll (I realized later that we could have shared, as these are HUGE) and I got a hot cocoa. We found a place to sit by the Coca Cola Refreshment Corner down the street. It was funny because people kept asking us where we got our cinnamon rolls. Haha! So our cinnamon roll was advertising itself! It was amazing though, the frosting was great and it was nice and warm. Jason didnt really like it though, he said it kinda make him sick to his stomach.

We then ran over to Space Mountain to use our fastpasses. We were kinda afraid of going on the ride full, but it was fine. This ride is amazing. At this point, we were getting the hang of the picture taking at the end and were being goofy with different poses. It was always fun to check the pictures once exiting the ride.

We then decided to check the Matterhorn to see the wait. The line was pretty long, but unfortunately, there are no fast passes for this ride, so we decided to just wait it out. It was about 25 minutes, but was worth the wait. My butt was sore afterwards though, because the ride jerks you around! It was fun though. It also gives you a real nice view of the park. After this, we headed over to DCA to explore that park a little more. We did the 3D Muppets show which is really funny (I'm kinda biased though, because I absolutely love the Muppets) and then headed over to It's Tough to Be a Bug. I honestly thought this one would be kinda lame, but it was the best 3D show out of the others I had seen. There were parts of the show where they spray you with water and spray smells into the air. Its really cool! A must see for the kiddies and adults alike!

It was wayyyy hot at this point, so we went to Burrr-bank (super cute name) for some ice cream. I ordered the Mint Express which was two scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream, hot fudge, cookie pieces, whip cream and a cherry on top, all in a waffle cup (Hey, its vacation, I can splurge). :earsgirl: We wanted to catch the D.U.H comedy show, but it was already started by the time we got my ice cream, so we decided to catch it another day.

We headed back over to DL at this point and rode Buzz and Star Tours again (the lines for these rides were not too bad) and then got another fast pass for Space Mountain. After these rides, we decided it was time for lunch, so we stopped at the Villiage Haus in FantasyLand. I ordered a turkey sandwhich and chips and a HUGE rice krispie treat. Jason ordered a Munchkin Meal w/ chicken nuggets and fries. It was OK, nothing too special. I was full after the sammich, so I ended up taking the rice krispie treat home. After this, we went to main street and I found this candy shop so we stopped there. I found this cute 50th anniversary tin with jelly beans and I thought that would be great for my Mom, so I bought it.

We then went back to the hotel, changed, and headed off in the car to the Wax Museum. It wasn't too far from the hotel, about 10 minutes away. This was pretty neat, there are alot of cool wax figures and upon walking in, they take your picture w/ "the celebrity of the day" (a wax figure of course). Unfortunately, that day was George Burns. Wamp wamp. Oh well, I still ended up buying the picture though because it did come out kinda cute. There was also this section of the wax museum w/ all the scary guys like Michael Myers (from Halloween, not Shrek :) ), the Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc. It was kinda freaky and reminded us of The House of Wax movie. After the Wax museum, we went over to Ripley's Believe it or Not. This was pretty interesting too. There are a lot of cool exibits like the tallest man ever! That was cool. There was also this area when they had a mirror and there was a tape playing telling you to try to touch your nose to your tongue. I found out later that it was one of those mirror/windows that you can see through the other side. This little girl said that her mom took a picture of me when I was attempting to touch my tongue to my nose! Too funny! Overall, this was way fun and I'm glad we stopped to check it out.

After this, it was about 6:00pm, so we headed on over to Medieval Times, which was pretty close. We immediately were given our crowns and banners and were informed we would be cheering for the Yellow knight. Once inside, we took a picture with the "King". We had to wait until 6:30pm for the show to begin, but there were plenty of shops (of course) to keep us busy in the meantime. I also got a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquri (sp?). Then, we were called into the auditorium and seated. It was lots of fun cheering for our knight! He ended up losing in the end... :( but it was still very entertaining! The food was great too. We were served a full multi-course meal including a HUGE chicken thigh and leg, ribs, soup, bread, potato, and even dessert. You couldn't use utensils so at times, I did feel like a bit of a barbarian! It was fun though, took you back to being a kid! Haha! Well worth it I would say. After a quick jump back to the gift shop (I bought a cool frosted beer glass for my boyfriends' brother and a deck of cards for his sister), we were off back to DL!!!

We made a quick stop at the hotel to drop off our goodies from Medieval Times and then were headed back to DL! I wanted to ride the Matterhorn at night, so we decided to wait in line for that. It was about 30 minutes, but was worth it, because we were able to see the Remember fireworks while on the ride. After this, we rode the Mad Hatter teacups and the Storybook ride. This one was adorable because you get to see all the little miniature houses and castles. I love miniature anything, so I loved it! We then went over to the New Orleans side of things and rode Pirates and Haunted Mansion, both with about a 5 - 10 minute wait. We walked by some of the New Orleans shops and I made sure to take a couple of pics by the Club 33 entrance. At this point, it was around 11:30pm, so we decided to hit the Once Upon a Time princess shop, where I found these cute small princess snowglobes for my sisters. I was hoping to get Belle, Jasmine, and Aurora (sleeping beauty), but unfortunately, they didnt have any Jasmine snowglobes. I did buy the other two though, in hopes I would find a Jasmine snowglobe at another shop. (I never did :( ) Then, we headed back to the hotel, and called it another fun-filled night!

Day 3 on the way...

DiamondPrincess-
Thanks so much for the detailed TP, I really enjoyed it. Not very many posters speak of other adventures such as the Wax Museum and Medievel Times, glad you and Jason had a good time. Looking forward to the next day :flower: :flower: :flower:

PS...If you have not gone, you absolutely must ride Soarin' at DCA!

Lulubelle! I love Soarin! It was definately one of my favorites! So relaxing! A couple of times, I took my flip flops off to get the full "flying" effect! I noticed some mothers were taking their kids shoes off too. It is an amazing ride!

OMG, diamondprincess! Your trip to the Wax Museum and Ripley's sounds exactly like the trip my mom, sister and I did back in September, 1993! Not kidding! We all got George Burns and had each of our picture taken with him. Of course, he was alive at the time and when my mom showed my grandmother the picture she got with George, my grandmother went, "You met George Burns?!" We then showed her the pictures with me and my sister and my grandmother caught on, noticing he never moved in all three pictures!

As for Ripley's, I remember that mirror with the see-through glass on the other side! It's a two-way mirror and I think I was tricked, too, by making faces and people seeing it on the other side. That place was really weird. I was fascinated by a lot of it, but it made my mom very nauseous. She didn't like it at all.

I'm enjoying your reports so far! You got quite a lot done at DL per day! Wow!
