My family loves the Diamond Horseshoe. I had heard that it was closing, but then I read in a guide book today that it is open with a show starring Woody. Has anyone been there recently?

The guidebook mentioned that it might be necessary to reserve a spot at the show by visiting guest services at MK on the day of the show. Anybody know anything??

Thanks!

The Diamond Horseshoe Saloon is now called Goofy's Country Dancin' Jamboree. It's a country dance party with Goofy and his pals teaching country line dancing.

We desperately miss DHS. Another attraction all generations can enjoy bites the dust. The country line dancing is geared toward the young set, preschool - young elementary. My kids took one look and said -- lame.

We miss the Diamond revue too - they had good food to sit and relax with during the show.

What a shame! Our whole family really enjoyed DHS. We sat in the front row for Goofy's Country Jamboree. We all (including my 7 & 9 year olds) agree with Kallison, sooo lame!!

I'm really disappointed! We spend two days at MK every trip and always went to the Diamond Horseshoe both days.

My DH, DS19, and DD7 all think that country music is quite possibly fatal, so this may be an attraction to skip when we visit in June. My DD loves to dance but I doubt that she would be willing to even attempt country line dancing, and my DS definitely wouldn't.

We miss this too. It was such a nice resting place and had great ice cream. When we went in December the line outside the show was unbelieveable we had trouble getting past in the street so I guess it's a hit with the younger set.

Does anyone know why they would mess with a great thing?? It is a must see with us. Great to rest your feet, have a cold drink or snack while enjoying a fun show. We all will miss this one.

Our family loved this "show" also. It was clean fun for all ages.
My daughter was 14 months the last time we visited DHS. She made noises/baby talked at the most appropriate times during the show that the performer kept referring to her as a Heckler. It was such a memorable experience.

TPTB need to rethink this decision and bring back the show. Ahhh, wishful thinking.

When you had to make a reservation to see it has soon has you entered MK. If you didn't do that early it would be booked solid and you wouldn't get the chance to see it.We did that several times long ago if my memory is correct.:wave2:

Danny 1649- Yes, I remember when you needed to reserve the Diamond Horseshoe as soon as you got to MK if you wanted to see it. The last time that we had to do that was our 1990 trip, by our 2001 trip they weren't taking reservations. I loved the show and the reservation system. I'm a fan of anything that can be reserved in advance rather than standing in line for an hour or two.

Come to think of it wouldn't reserved parade viewing spots be a great idea and real timesaver. All of us plan ahead types could reserve six months in advance and then show up just as the parade started. Wishful thinking, I know! :)
