I have been making some reservations for our upcoming trip and the only place I was offered on one particular night in the MK was the Diamond Horseshoe....

I wasnt aware this was now a restaurant? I asked the cast member what it was and she said it was a buffet restaurant...
Does anyone know anything about it? I cant seem to find any info online!

Many thanks

They open it during busier times to deal with overflow. If you're not familiar with the Diamond Horseshoe, it's a blue building located where Liberty Square and Frontierland meet. As for the food, it is the same exact offerings as LTT.

Not a buffet - all you can eat served family style. As the previous poster mentioned, it's exactly the same menu as Liberty Tree Tavern's dinner; it all comes from the same kitchen. Diamond Horseshoe is used as an overflow dining location in peak attendance times and during free dining.

I saw this too when booking a few weeks ago. I went ahead and booked it and then posted a thread about it. Yep, it's the same as the food at LTT, just in a different location.

They only do the all you care to eat (family style, not buffet as CM said) duing times they expect high volume at LTT (like during free DDP.)

DH dinner menu
During the all-you-care-to-eat dinner service, share mouth-watering, family-style platters of Saloon Salad (tossed mixed greens with strawberry vinaigrette dressing) and fare from the Ranchhand's Feast (roasted turkey breast, carved beef and smoked pork loin with sides of seasonal vegetables, herb bread stuffing and macaroni and cheese) served by a friendly staff dressed in Liberty Tree costumes. Beverages include soft drinks, coffee, iced tea and milk, with bottled water available for an additional charge.

Here's the menu at LTT
Declaration Salad-Tossed Mixed Greens with Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing
Patriot’s Platter-Roasted Turkey Breast, Carved Beef, and Smoked Pork Loin withm Mashed Potatoes, seasonal Vegetables, Herb Bread Stuffing,
and Macaroni & Cheese

I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this one, since for me part of the fun of eating at LTT is the characters, and they aren't there any longer-DH will be sans characters too.

thanks guys... yes Im very familar with the Diamond Horseshoe, just not as a restaurant.. last time I was there it served ice cream - but thanks for clearing that up!

Diamond Horseshoe came up with open slots and the menu I found which was on the Disney site was for western barbeque at dinner. It showed only being open I think mid August to early October, I think to coincide with free dining. Lunch menu was sandwiches.
