I was browsing aimlessly around the restaurants and found that it is up for dinner booking!!

"Mosey in for heaping helpings of frontier favorites your whole posse will love. Reopens with table service only beginning March 13, 2016."

Online booking is not available yet. But you can call to book it.
I called and they said it will open for dinner from March 13 to May.

We are going in March Break and I hope it will open for QS lunch.
I like this venue, and would love to dine there.

Does anyone has experience of dinner there? Did you like it or not?

UPDATE March 1: They updated the website. They now have lunch. Also an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal. Times are lunch: 11:30-2:55 Dinner 3-9:30pm
Booking is still by phone

I remember back in the early 2000s that it was part of a revue show (like Hoop-Dee-Doo) and had some food, but I can't remember what it was. I remember it was fun and I enjoyed it. I was said when they got rid of it. I'm thinking this was around 2000 for Christmas. I'm interested in going again.

We did that a couple years ago at Tokyo Disneyland. They still have the dinner show there. We were lucky to get a same day ressie and the show and dinner were absolutely fantastic!!

I know there is no more show at the Magic Kingdom one, but still want to do this special location for dinner.
Would be lovely that they bring back some shows, but with the very limited seating, I understand the difficulty budget-wise.

I do agree they wasted this beautiful location. They should make better use of it.

Info on the cast website is that it will be TS for lunch and dinner.

Starting March 13, Guests at Magic Kingdom Park will have an additional table-service option for lunch and dinner. The Diamond Horseshoe will be open daily, serving up a hearty, all-you-care-to-enjoy feast for famished Guests.

The meal kicks off with a Frontier Salad topped with roasted corn, corn bread croutons and housemade chipotle-ranch dressing. Guests will then have a choice of one of the following:
  • Barbeque pulled turkey, served over corn bread with seasonal vegetables
  • Spit-roasted ham, served with country beans and seasonal vegetables
  • Stewed beef, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables

For dessert, Guests may choose to indulge in a campfire brownie or apple tart before heading off into the sunset.

Pricing is $33 plus tax for adults; $19 plus tax for children ages 3-9 years. For reservations, Guests may call 407-WDW-DINE.

I made a reservation by on Sunday afternoon using the dining phone number for April 6 for dinner. The agent said lunch will be CS and dinner will be TS. She offered an early dinner seating at 3:40, but I took the one at 5:00. There was also availability at 7:30 on that date. Just to give you a time reference, apparently dinner starts early.

Do we know when in May? I'm going to call later but figured if it was May 1 I wouldn't waste my time since we don't go till the 9th

Sure hope for CS for lunch. It said the hours available for booking is 3-9pm. I find the information on the website and phone line confusing, as to what will happen for lunch time.
Frankly, I'd rather do CS lunch there as the price is more controllable. I find the dinner prices of $33 and $19 very high for the food they offered.

I was very excited about the idea of another FS restaurant coming to MK, especially at the Diamond Horseshoe which is one of my favorite places in the park (it reminds me of course of DL's Golden Horseshoe). Then I saw the prices and the menu and there is very little I can eat (don't care for beans, can't eat potatoes) or that DGF can eat (same, but with a corn allergy). Who dreamed up this menu...?
I get that it's supposed to be all "Frontier" inspired, but...ick.

I generally try to remain positive...if not a little snarky, but what a dud and a wasted opportunity.

Disney regularly opens up some "extra" restaurants during particularly busy dates.

We are going in March Break. I know it is high crowd but that's the one time of year we can do.
I love trying different restaurants. "extra" ones are even better.

Which other "extra" restaurants or dining places should I look for in these busy days?

Noodle Station near Tomorrowland.
