I don't think this "bomb" lasted more than 6-8 months.
It was designed for very small kids, but did not have enough "to it" to keep anyone entertained.

Now DH is just a spot for character meet and greets.
Very sad they cancelled the original "saloon show" that haad been in that room for decades.

I just read about a new "interactive" event/show that will be taking place in or near the theater.

Stay posted to see if more info will be revealed.

When we were there in May of 2005 it was a character greet with Woody and Jessie (an I hear Bullseye is there too sometimes). It was a nice place to get out of the sun for a minute and DD really enjoyed seeing Jessie, as it was the only place we ever found her. But there definately was not a show going on, though I have also heard rumors that they might put something back in there.
I wonder why they don't put the old show back in there. I guess it must have gotten less popular but I remember liking it as a kid.

It is on the border of Liberty Square/Frontierland.

It was still very popular. You needed to get advance ressies if you wanted to be sure to see it. I was there the last days it was open as the saloon show, and it was full-to-overflowing every performance.

I'm sure they closed it because it was very expensive to pay the union musicians, singers and dancers all day, every day, for such a small theater.

It was very much like the Hoop De Doo that they can charge $50.00 a ticket for (that, of course, includes a major meal and beverages).

I'd love to see that Diamond Horseshoe saloon show back in place.
Very entertaining!

That show was a direct descendant of the "Golden Horseshoe" in Disneyland, a show that Walt, himself, LOVED.

So, that's another of the true "Walt Disney attractions" that have been lost to (I'm sure) budget cuts.
