Diagon Alley during HHN- Is everything open? Do the wands still work?

I understand that Gringotts is running but does the entire themed area still "behave" like the day hours- or is it just the ride/attraction that is active. I was hoping my daughter can use a wand during the HHN in Diagon Alley- thanks

Yes, during day hours (before HHN begins) Diagon Alley runs just like normal. Once HHN begins, that entire area closes.

It is open this year.

Some shops and such are open too. I did not pay attention to wands either.

I was only in there during the holding time, but everything was open then. I saw people doing wand work (I can't imagine that the wands ever shut off).

They announced it late but yeah, the website sucks!

This was one of the best things about HHN. Diagon Alley was basically deserted, so there was room to walk around and look at things. And I heard things I had never heard before because of the usual noise level (books in shop windows talking, etc.).
