We plan to be at Hollywood Studios from 11:00-3:30ish during high crowds (Dec 23) with Genie +. I'm thinking the best strategy would be to try stacking genie+ reservations making selections at 7am, 9am, 11am, and 1pm and booking them all in the afternoon while we're there. We would like to do these attractions... what order should I book them in to have the most likely chance of riding them all with/ without Genie +? I know we probably won't actually have time for all of them but we would be happy if we made it on these attractions.

Genie+:
Slinky Dog
Runaway Railway
Rock n Rollercoaster
Toy Story Mania

Individual Lightening Lane:
Rise of Resistance

Without Genie+:
Beauty and Beast Show
Disney Junior Show
Meet characters (Minnie, Olaf, Woody)
Muppet Vision 3D

Slinky dog and Rise right at 7am!

I'm pretty sure next you want Rock n Roller Coaster. After that, if you aren't getting times you like, keep refreshing to see if you can get an earlier one!

Slinky dog first for sure. Then RnR, then MMRR. Note that for an 8:30am park opening, you will make your first selection at 7am and your next selection 2 hours after park opening, so 10:30am. Also note that between 7-7:30, Disney hides return times until the confirmation screen. If you book SDD at 7:00:05, you may get a 9:30am return time. In this case you have to cancel and rebook for an after 11am. Keep this in mind as you may have to wait a few seconds after 7am to start the booking process.

Trying to give you a realistic viewpoint. What you are proposing is impossible especially with a 4.5 hour window and a desire to go to shows. I think you may be overestimating Genie+.

If you book Slinky right at 7:00:01 you will get anytime from opening to midafternoon. So what you get may not get a selection that matches your window. Next you won't book again until 10:30 you may find Toy Story Mania or Rockin Roller Coaster for your window but the other most likely will be outside your window. When you book again at 12:30 this will be the last time you have any chance to find a ride for your window, I personally do not think you will find anything for your window. I wish you the best of luck to get 3 genie+ selections for your window but depending on the Slinky Dog lottery time you get you are looking at an uphill battle

The only thing you can control in all this is Rise.

The biggest problem is the unpredictability of crowds for Dec 23rd. My suggestion is to watch the LL return times on ThrillData in the weeks leading up to your trip. Thanksgiving week may give you a rough idea since that's likely to have similar crowd levels as the week you're going.

As some other folks mentioned, on a super busy day, you likely won't get all these G+ selections. The best strategy for booking G+ at DHS is to know what you want to prioritize and go from there. I realize you may have your priorities but I do think you should move MMRR down on your order of attack to get G+ as this LL is not as hard to get or as hard to ride standby. TOT, Rock n Rollercoaster, Smugglers are all harder to get G+ than MMRR. We did a 1pm arrival at DHS and stacked over spring break and did pretty good for G+. We never were able to get TOT but we ended up riding that standby and was able to accomplish what we wanted given the high crowds. We did not do any shows but we did take an early even break since we were staying at the Dolphin so we were close by so had we not done that, we could have likely squeezed in one or two shows. And no matter when we visit, we've never gotten a return time earlier than 5pm for slinky so I have no idea how anyone gets a morning or midday return time for SDD.

My strategy with booking G+ LL is to book asap and set your alarm for your next window which will be two hours post park opening, not at park opening. The sooner you book each subsequent G+ LL the better as that will put you in front of those who are slower to book or forget. Make sure you edit your LL priorities in MDE so when you search for your next LL, you aren't bogging down the system looking for slinky when you're trying to book TSM for example. Also, screen shot all your booked LLs just in case something goes crazy with the technology which does happen. You can take that the CMs under the blue umbrellas to help you with your G+ selections. Don't get discouraged when you see a LL time and select it and the Genie gives you a different time, it happens and it's annoying. Also, if you have a little down time in lines, you can keep checking and sometimes G+ times will pop up when previously there were no booking times open will open. You have to be super fast to get them and sometimes they'll disappear when you select them. Disney IT is not really on the ball.

Because you can't select your LL time you'll be subject to the times you get so do keep that in mind, while I think it will be an afternoon time since getting early AM is unusual, it can happen so be prepared. Book slinky first and then do Rise or have someone who has your payment info handy, book rise from another device logged in to your MDE. The other thing I do to conserve battery and opening MDE is to keep my G+ LL/iLL$ return times in my notes, screenshot that and use that as my schedule reference for the day as I book my LLs. MDE eats your battery so I try to not be in the app much.

ETA- do check G+ times after 7am as depending on the day, sometimes Disney adds refills to rides so if you can't book something, keep checking. We noticed over spring break G+ times would come up around 7:10am for previously booked rides and again about 10 min later. The name of the game is just keep checking and be patient!

I'll be doing a similar plan in the next couple of weeks so I'm curious how it will play out (but not arriving to HS until the 2:00 park hop time). I'm trying to prioritize the HS rides in my Genie, but since I'm starting at EP, but only EP rides are showing up. What am I missing?

I think you can change your plan for the day to track rides for the park hopping park? I can't remember how to do it.
