DHS + Water Park + Wishes ...too much on same day???

We have one day planned as follows:

9a-12p - DHS
1p-5p - Water Park (Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach)
casual dinner TBD
8:30+ Pirates & Pals Voyage / Wishes show

We are not all day water park people. We are looking forward to going and enjoying the water park for about half a day (4 hours max). We are very excited about going to Pirates & Pals event that same evening.

Is it too much to try and visit DHS for the morning hours before heading to the water park?

Depends really on how much your family can do in a day, ages in your party, etc. assuming this is an acceptable pace for your family, I'd say it's possible. Your timing between DHS and the water park me get be a little tight. I would have my water park items in my backpack to avoid going back to the resort. Also, it might sav some time to walk from DHS down the walkway to a nearby resort and hop on a bus to the water park from there.
