DHS to MK mid-morning - long wait for a bus?

On our last day, we want to hit DHS at rope drop for one last ride on TSMM. We then will want to park hop to MK, probably around 10am. That time of morning, which is an hour after park opening (November), should we expect a long wait for a bus to MK? Would it be quicker if we took a boat or walked over to one of the Epcot area resorts and caught an MK bus from there? Thanks all!

I would take bus to Contemporary from Studios, and walk to MK.

Thanks. I guess my question is the same - that time of morning, how frequent are the buses OUT of the park heading back to resorts or other parks? I'd imagine most buses are coming IN since it would be just an hour after opening.

Fairly frequent - I was there last weekend and buses to the resorts are supposed to be on a 20 minute cycle. So the worse case scenario is you just miss the bus and have to wait 20 minutes for the next one plus ~10 minutes loading time plus ~15 minutes to MK. (Or about an hour worse case or 30 minutes best case)

The boat will just make things worse (though it's a purty ride!). Anytime you add a "leg" of transportation you're just going to make things longer. You're looking at about 30 minutes to get to the resort THEN add on the 20 minutes bus cycle time plus 10 plus 15... blah blah... Figure about an hour and a half or two hours that way.

I'd do HS to Contemporary and then walk to MK or HS to TTC and then monorail to MK.
(Personally I think that'd be a perfect break point to shoot for lunch or a snack - maybe at the Poly or Contemporary. Unless you wanted to have lunch at MK then never mind! :thumbsup2 )

I think I would do the Contemporary and walk to MK. The reason is later in the day the busses between parks likely run more frequent but I doubt at 10 there are many people going between parks. My guess is they have less busses between parks that early in the morning. Starting around noon that would change.

Why is the bus to Contemporary plus walk to MK faster than the direct bus to MK? Nowadays the DHS-MK bus drops off right at MK, not at TTC anymore (right?).

If there's a direct bus to MK then do that. I think that's a relatively recent change and most of us keep forgetting that! :)

return buses to resorts are going to be on low frequency just as the park to park bus will be. I think you can expect 20-30 minutes between buses.

The only way the Contemporary route will be faster is if there is a bus waiting or very soon after you get to the bus stop AND the direct bus is at least 15 minutes later.

So it's a gamble... I would wait for the direct bus. The walk from CR is 10-15 minutes.
