How long does it take to walk from DHS to Epcot? Will it be possible to go from the end of a 8:15 Star Wars fireworks show to Epcot in time for 9:00 Illuminations?

15-25 minutes depending on your personal walking speed. DH and I make it in 15 easy, but we're both tall and walk fast.

We have a done this walk a few time. It is a nice walk at night.

I would agree with Berlioz70 15-25 mins but I don't know how easy it would be to get out to HS after the fireworks and get to Epcot with crowds.

I think if you are near an exit and can get out on the walkway before the crowd hits it is very possible.

The show will end around 8:28. So you'll basically have 30 minutes to make it. It can be done. Cut through the roller coaster pool at boardwalk to save time.

I echo that you should be toward the HS exit when you watch the fireworks or it could take you 15 minutes just to exit the park. Not sure when you are going, but if there has been a Fantasmic show that night around the same time as the fireworks, then there may be a complete bottleneck just trying to exit the park.

The fireworks are at 8:15, Fantastic is at 8:30.

We do the walk all of the time, takes about 20 minutes & is quite enjoyable as there are very few people. To lessen the stress a bit, I'd probably situate myself nearer to the exit in DHS to get a bit ahead of the crowd coming out. The back exit at Epcot shouldn't be that bad at that time of night, but in case you are looking to avoid the crowds, you can also stand on the bridge between Beach Club & Boardwalk to watch the Epcot fireworks. It is a nice view from there, you just don't get to see the full lake show.

I may do just that. I know I will not get a great spot getting there so late before the show. Epcot is Extra Magic Hours that night and we want to enjoy the park afterwards. If it looks like I won't get there, I will take your advice. The Star Wars fireworks are the #1 priority.

I don't agree with the Bridge being a "good view". Illuminations is so much more than a fireworks show. It is fire, music, lasers, lights and high fireworks. You loose all but the high fireworks by not being around the lagoon. I have never seen the Star Wars show, but seeing You Tube videos and reviews of it, it looks to me to be more like Illuminations than Wishes. It too has way more elements than the high fireworks.
OP Enjoy the Star Wars fireworks, and make your way to Epcot as swiftly as you choose to, knowing you may only see the high fireworks from outside the park. It sounds like you are good with that
Have Fun

The LAST place you want to be to see the Star Wars show is near the exit. You will see nothing. It's mostly projections on the Chinese Theater and side buildings with accompanying fireworks. If that show is your #1 priority, you will want to be able to see the theater. If you're too far back you will also miss the fireworks since they're shot off from the side. Go to this awesome Star Wars thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/of...r-fireworks-dessert-party-launch-bay.3439569/ and check out the first page for info on this show (and all things SW related at HS) @yulilin3 does a fantastic job of keeping it up-to-date.

I think you'll still make it to Epcot in time to see Illuminations if you have 30 mins. You won't have any car or bus traffic/waits to deal with since you'll be walking.
