DHS to Boardwalk via boat???

Are there any other ways to get from DHS to Boardwalk (for dinner) besides boat? Is their a walking route? If so, which would be quickest? How long does each take?

Yes, you can walk it, but it would be best to take the boat from DHS, get off at the Swan & Dolphin (1st stop) & then walk over the bridge to the BW.

That is the fastest way.

There is a walkway. Which one is faster depends on whether you have to wait for a boat or there is one ready to depart as well as how fast you walk. We prefer to walk and it takes around 15 minutes. I think if the boat is ready to leave it may be faster if your a slow walker. You can get off at the swan and dolphin stop if that one is first and walk over to the boardwalk.

As smacky1 said, the unknown is how long the wait for the boat to arrive will be. It takes just about an hour for a boat to make one round trip down to EPCOT and back. My experience has been that the average number of boats in service is either three or four (depending on the crowd size and the time of day). The most number of boats that I've seen has been eight (at Christmastime last year). If eight are running, the wait between boats is only 7 minutes but 15 minutes (for 4 boats) or 20 minutes (for 3 boats) is more realistic. You can kind of get a feel for what the wait situation is by seeing what's going on at the dock. But do get off at the Swan and Dolphin. Otherwise, the walk is very nice (assuming that your feet aren't already worn out!).

when you exit the studios go to the walkway. if you see a boat coming, go back to the boat dock. and get on boat, exit at swan and walk to boardwalk. if you dont, then walk to boardwalk. cut through luna park pool to chop off a good five minutes from your walk.

You can walk all the way from DHS to EPCOT with the resorts in the middle.From DHS to the Boardwalk is close to a 15-20 minute walk depending on your speed.From the Boardwalk to EPCOT it's like 5-10 minutes.As someone else said cut through the pool to avoid going all the way around the Boardwalk.The boats are not fast but if they're at the dock I would take it,especially if planning to do the walk under a hot sun.
