DHS to Beaches & Cream...advisable?

Planning our second trip after success this past summer. Finding it very difficult to decide where I want to make an ADR for lunch. We did Hollywood & Vine this summer, and the kids enjoyed it, but indicated it was a one and done. Unless the characters change, I'm thinking I need to find somewhere new. Not interested in Mama Melrose or HBD. So that brings us to Sci Fi, 50's, or CS. I think the movies in Sci Fi will put my sensitive daughter over the edge (unfortunately) or else that would be my choice, and I'm pretty sure the menu at 50's will run us into some issues with the kids. Pizza Planet would have been my backup, but now that it will be closed, I can't decide whether to just grab sandwiches at Starring Rolls or try to wrap things up fast enough to hit Beaches & Cream, which would appeal to all of us.
We would not be returning to DHS - we would be leaving at lunch time. This is what we did last year after lunch and only missed a show or two, we aren't heavy on rides. Question is, is it worth making the trip? How long IS the trip between the two? We will have our own car, if that matters.

It's about 20 minutes by boat, which is probably easier than driving, although there is also the return trip.

You can also take about a 10-12 minute walk b/t DHS and Beaches and Cream. It's a really nice walk too! Have fun!

It's easy to drive to Beach Club. When you exit the parking lot, continue straight through the intersection (you'll drive between Boardwalk and the gas station) and that road wraps around to Beach Club.

Excellent, thanks so much for all the info! I was wondering about the boat ride and the walk, but to be honest, it will be summer and HOT so maybe driving would be best. Good to know the drive is easy, we drove to BWI last time around so that area is somewhat familiar to us.
