DHS - Sofia Wait Times?

Hi everyone!

After deciding that we weren't going to DHS this trip, my toddler has suddenly become Sofia the First obsessed - so I think we're going to squeeze in a half-day! I was able to grab a H&V breakfast, but may forgo it for a 50's PT lunch instead (it was my mom's favorite meal last time!).

Does anyone have any information on meeting Sofia at DHS? Wait times, normal schedule, etc.? My daughter doesn't know any of the other Disney Junior characters - would it still be worth it to do the H&V breakfast instead?

The wait wasn't too bad in April when we went. I'd try to go earlier in the day as waits are shortest and avoid mid day as the wait is outside and it gets hot. Parts of the line are shaded but it still gets hot.

Last week we waited less than 15 minutes to see Sofia. Lines were slightly shorter for Jake and Doc.

The lines have looked long late mornings the times I have seen her out. We've never waited though. I hate outdoor, hot, slow moving character lines. So We did the H&V lunch last trip and the kids requested it again. Characters were great. They came by multiple times each. They have a "dance" celebration thing every so often where all characters line up and all kids can go over and dance while 1 song plays. If your child is outgoing she may really like this. My kids love all characters even if they don't "know" them. We've gotten a lot of library books recently to intruduce more characters before the trip so they will know more this time.

I think they stopped the dancing portion at H&V and it's now just the usual going around to tables, taking pics and autographs.

We had a short wait (10 mins each?) last year for the Disney Jr characters, Sofia, Jake and Doc. But we also did it right after a Disney Jr show let out. If you can time it so you avoid that, the line shouldn't be long.

We waited longer for Chip and Dale, and didn't even consider the Buzz and Woody line, it was that long (though we may not be able to get away with missing that one this year).

Oh no! My kids LOVED that! I was so looking forward to it!

We had luck last week getting in the line just as a Disney Jr show was about to start. Waited maybe 5-10 minutes each time and hit Sofia, Jake, and Doc pretty quickly. Pluto was there also and had a much longer line.
