Seaworld, hands down.
DHS might be worth a few hours but Seaworld, with all the shows, the penguin experience, the sea turtle building and other stuff will keep you busy all day, even if you leave out the thrill rides. Living Seas at Epcot can't hold a candle to all that Seaworld offers. Plus you can take pride in the knowledge that part of your admission will go to helping Seaworld continue to do wildlife rescues and rehabilitations.
We've been to all three Sea World locations and I would say that the one in California is by far the prettiest. The setting is amazing.I wish I could visit some of the other SeaWorld locations, but I am never in TX or CA. I wish they still had their Aurora, OH location, but it makes a lot of sense that a northern location had a lot of limitations.

Arwen, it's unfortunately the core strategy of the PETA crowd that is trying to infiltrate the DIS. They search for any Sea World thread on this site and do everything possible to get it shut down.![]()
It must have been a pain to transport the animals. This location just seemed totally bizarre. They had an OH location? I never knew that. Yeah, that could be a problem with the winters.

The California one is really lovely (can't beat that location!) but I like the layout of the Florida one around the lake, so pretty!
Yes, some people are very passionate about animals, PETA or not. I do wonder how WDW seems to evade so much criticism with their dolphins in that crummy tank?
I would be so happy if WDW would donate those dolphins and manatees to SeaWorld. I believe SeaWorld would give them a better life there.
You should! We had a wonderful time in San Diego if that would be new for you. Both Sea World and the San Diego Zoo were very nice. Now I want to go to Cali!!
Are they happier just because they currently live at Disney World?! They would be more miserable at SW? What basis do you say that?!No, they would be just as miserable, if not moreso, at Sea World. The answer is not transferring these animals from one crappy enclosure to another. The humane thing to do is to somehow find a way to release them in to the wild.
That reference is lost on me.Walter Palmer, don't you have a dentist clinic to run?
I most definitely would like a SoCal vacation. I'd even drive there from NY... I don't think the Grand Canyon gets fogged over, does it?You should! We had a wonderful time in San Diego if that would be new for you. Both Sea World and the San Diego Zoo were very nice.
That is a long drive!!! I wonder how long that would take particularly with stops.I most definitely would like a SoCal vacation. I'd even drive there from NY... I don't think the Grand Canyon gets fogged over, does it?

No, Grand Canyon doesn't get foggy. Now San Diego.. you betcha!I most definitely would like a SoCal vacation. I'd even drive there from NY... I don't think the Grand Canyon gets fogged over, does it?

We did that drive when I was about 10 or 11? We drove from.ny to northern ca (stopping at places along the way, like Yellowstone). When we got to san francisco, we explored there and then drove down the CA coast stopping in Monterey, hearst's castle, etc. we ended the trip with Disneyland and san Diego. I can't remember how long the trip was. I'll have to ask my family if they remember. It was an *awesome** vacation, though!I most definitely would like a SoCal vacation.
