Does anyone else have this problem or is it only us!! :rotfl:
Everytime we drive to Disney studios we end up going through the back way to the park!
we have been on world drive and followed the directions and still it takes us to the back entrance,
we have ignored the directions until another set comes up and again we end up at the back -i think we have only ever been through the front many yrs ago, or was i dreaming it, im sure there is a front entrance for DHS??
anyone else this happens to! :rolleyes1
I would just love to film driving up to the front for once!!

It was the 1st time i drove last year in florida and was quite surprised that i found this happening to me also, as i never had been in the back way off the studios.

As we always approach from DTD/LBV area we always use back entrance so not sure why you are missing the front entrance. Just looked on Google maps looks easy enough.

thats the way we go-from lbv area, to 535/536 junction down world drive and follow signs, and still end up using the back entrance...:headache:
might look easy enough Wayne, but every yr we never find it :rotfl2:

I've been to WDW 4 times and didn't know there were two ways into the park (it was enough of a challenge not to drive down the staff only entrance!!)

I'm glad I'm not the only one Dimplenose! I never really realised there were two entrances, although I must have known somewhere in the back of my mind. We were staying at AKV this last time, and every time we went across one of the bridges, I remember seeing the big entrance to DHS, and sorta thinking we didn't ever really go that way. But I never put two and two together and realised there was a back entrance!!! :lmao:

Like wayne says, go onto maps.google.com and search "disney hollywood studios".
It zooms right in on it. You can click the "satellite" option to show the car parks etc. Check out the way you normally go in (back way) and take note of the other route :goodvibes:

YES!! Doesn't matter which Disney hotel we stay at, sat nav always takes us in that way! No idea how to get to the main entrance!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously I rely on the Disney Transportation System quite heavily .... I never even knew there was a back entrance to DHS!! :lmao:

Not certain but don't all Disney buses use the back entrance? I know there is always a line of them going in and out when whenever we go.

Oh, well maybe it is the front I didn't know about. :rotfl2:

I assumed we were using the front entrance. Where do you enter if you come in from the back? Maybe that will shed some light on it. I am not very good with maps anyway so anything is possible. ;)

The back entrance is a single 'toll booth' near to Downtown Disney and Blizzard Beach.

Looking at a combination of the satellite view and street view I think the only way to get to the front entrance is if you are coming off of the 192. If you drive under the actual arch rather than to the right of the arch then you can't get to the front entrance.

Still not sure. Obviously you would enter the park at a different point whichever entrance you use. I assumed that we use the main entrance because it always corresponds with the park map from the point we enter. Or are you just talking about parking and everyone enters the actual park from the same point?

Oh no, everybody walks into the park at the same point, we're just talking about car park entrances.

That's the problem - you need to be coming up the 192 and turn right up towards World Drive.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en...7324,-81.564388&spn=0.020699,0.05506&t=h&z=15

If you take a look at that link, towards the bottom of the map you'll see the 192 going underneath Wide World of Sports, then there's an exit that curves up parallel to World Drive. Follow that road up to the top of the map where part of it curves off to the right again but there's another part that goes straight up. If you scroll the map up slightly you'll see that straight part then curves round itself and into the main entrance to DHS.

Hope that makes sense. :goodvibes

Yes, everyone enters the park thru the same turnstiles, it just a back entrance into the car park, Opp Hess gas station on Beuna Vista Drive. Only 1 booth there (2 sides)

Jeanette, where you going? From 192 the Studios are up World Drive and straight off. Try this map http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&s....358776,-81.558895&spn=0.083687,0.181103&z=13

talking about going through to park up - there is a back entrance and a front entrance that you buy your $14 parking ticket from - getting into the actual park we all use same entrance :)

I now declare myself officially no longer confused! Thanks guys! This is what I get for nosing around threads that are not applicable to me :lmao:
