For those of you who didn't read Day 1 DH wanted to do "something different" on this trip and I asked him to give me a chance to show him a "different" Disney trip.On our first day we had a lot of Pixie dust come our way and Day 2 was no different.
I get up,jump in the shower ,get dress and I'm ready for breakfast.I have to admit that sleeping on a double bed with DH was different, if we had to sleep in a double bed at home we would also be sleeping in separate rooms.I try to wake up DH ,but, he had no intention of getting up.I went around the bed like a shark looking at it's prey trying to figure out the best way to wake him up.If only I had brought a whistle like Commando Nikki (Hi,Delswife,I'm a fan
) . Yes, a whistle would of worked,I was sure, just one blow and he would of been out of that bed in seconds.I realized this is DH vacation too if he wants to sleep I will let him sleep,but, next time I will bring a whistle.So, I decided to forget about Boatwright and go to the food court for breakfast.POR is so beautiful in the morning, that I actually enjoyed my walk.I get to the food court, order breakfast and decide to bring DH something back to the room.20 minutes later when I get back to the room DH opens his eyes and I tell him I got him breakfast in bed, he gives me a big smile.See, "something different "#1, breakfast in bed, something he never gets at home.Also by doing this I earned about 1,000,000,000 points with DH. We decide to go shopping that day, we never ask for directions ,but, we never get lost and find great parking spots,see "something different"#2.
We get to the hotel and go for a walk. He tells me again how much he is enjoying POR ,because, it was "different". He also mentions that maybe we should return at the beggining of 2004 for a "weekend trip".Then he tells me that in the future, during a longer trip we should stay at POR and the Contemporary or the Mediterranean ....What???
..I started to laugh so hard that tears came out of my eyes.I tell him ,I think you mean the Polynesian and he tells me that's the one.He asked me if I was going to put what he just said on my trip report and I said of course, I'm sure they'll enjoy reading about Disney's new resort "The Mediterranean". When we get to our room I discovered the biggest surprise... our housekeeper had left us two towel animals.I was so happy I started jumping up and down like a little girl.This is my 6th stay onsite, on the first 5 stays I walked into my room every day looking for towel animals and never got one.To be honest,I thought I would never get one and I certainly wasn't expecting to get one during this trip and I got 2!!(something different #3) What a wonderful surprise!!!
That night we headed out to MVMCP and we were lucky that our bus stopped at our bus stop first and then went to the main bus stop where a mob was waiting.When we get to MK we rush thru security enjoy the "snow" at Main St (something different #4) and when we get to the castle I tell DH to go left.He tells me that everybody is going right and I tell him that's exactly why we are going left.We start walking into Pirates of the Caribbean and then all of the sudden I realize there was no one else around.What a wonderful feeling!! I tell DH and he started looking around and he could not believe that we were all alone standing in front of POTC (something different #5).I look at my watch and it's exactly 7pm and I tell him to enjoy the moment ,because, the crowds were coming.We walked right into POTC and with absolutely no one on sight we walked right thru to our boat which we rode by ourselves.There was no one before and no one to be seen in, at least, the 3 of the boats behind us (something different #6).When we walked out of POTC we encountered "the crowd" at least we got to enjoy the moment.We rode everything that night without any lines, the onle FP that we used was for Peter Pan (I bet you are surprised!!).The lines for the photo were real long,I told DH that we would get the photo at the end of the night, because, the lines wil be shorter by then.After riding Buzz twice I realize that the 2nd parade was starting and we started to run to Main ST.We get there just in time and we start searching for a decent spot ( of course you know the good ones are gone by now). I tell DH to cross the street into that round plaza across from the castle ( I have no idea what it's called ) and sure enough we get great spots .Since, this is the 2nd parade it is starting in Frontier land,so, I find a great spot if front of this bronze statue of "Chuck and Dave". *For those who didn't have the pleasure of reading "Delswife" trip report her daughter called Chip and Dale "Chuck and Dave" and to be honest I think they look more like Chuck and Dave than Chip and Dale*. We absolutely loved the parade,in all honesty,I believe this is the best parade I have seen at Disney. DH was absolutely amazed with the parade, he looked like a kid on his first visit to Disney (something different #7).After the parade we go get our picture taken and sure enough there were no lines.When we get our picture DH asks where do we pay for it, I tell him we don't pay for it ,It's free. He had this confused look on his face and asked me why it was free and I tell him something I had read in the boards " When Disney gives you something for free you don't question it" (something different #8).
We are now running out of time and DH asks me what we are going to do next and I tell him we are going to the Carrousel of Progress and he asks me ..What is that?? ...Whaaaaattt??
It turns out he had never been to COP and I almost had a heart attack.He really enjoyed it and could not figure out why he hadn't been on it before (something different #9).We then jump on the bus and head to POR to our double bed.As you can see day 2 has been a sucess.Once again we had a lot of Pixie Dust come our way.As you can see Tinkerbelle was working overtime with us!!!!!!
