Isn't it true though, that we should expect a Star Tours re-theme after SWLand opens? The original question was about how they were going to connect ST with SWLand, but I don't think ST will remain in its current form after the new land opens. Right?

Well, that's why I thought an underground connection would make more sense...could just dig up New York Street, and that way Muppets courtyard would be really opened up and both areas could be more immersive.

Two new permits/notice of commencements have been filed for restroom and food services, and a trench package for Toy Story Land.

Despite the permit I wouldn't count on vertical happening so quickly. The foundation permit for SWE was filed back in September, but the October aerials didn't show any foundation work under way.

The laydown yard for the DHS projects is on the other side of Osceola from the park so this is probably for that area, so indirectly related.

Does anyone know the actual demo list is?

I was looking at the part of streets of america that hasn't been demoed yet. It is attached to the building in 1 spot so I'm thinking that might be why that can't just pull the last couple pieces back. then I look closer and muppets does take place in new york and if that area is going to be a muppets themed mini-land, it does make sense they might have other plans to make it more of new york and not demo those last sections but add to it. It also might be a spot they could create something special for the holidays if they did this..

anyone have any inside information on why that section isn't down yet and if they possibly plan to not demo it?

That last section will not be demoed. It may change theme a bit but it is staying as a corridor to Star Wars land. And no they aren't doing anything for the holidays for it.

It seems like good progress at DHS at least in the Toy Story section. I wonder how much of the plan changed to expedite opening versus a budgetary limit?

Exciting to see. I guess we are likely 18-24 months from opening, so it seems like they could easily get that done in a year and a half. (Truthfully while I am in support of Toy Story Land to expand the offerings for young kids at DHS - I can't say it has me all that excited.)

I just wish there was one more attraction in toy story land even if it a copy of one of the rides from Paris. DHS needs more attractions period.
