Wait did you just say that they are building a monorail from HS to Boston with stops in every major city on the east coast! That's awesome.
Oh this is gonna reach Star Wars boat ride proportion. Monorail heading to DHS... Look out. I bet it even goes through that hole in the Swan/Dolphin!!![]()
Even if nothing comes of that area right away doing demo work on that can't hurt. It's just sort of a relic of a bygone era rotting away over therePermit filed for Catastrophe Canyon expiring 10/31/18
I can only imagine what that means...
I will post a link when I get back from vacation.

Disney would never just let anything rot now.... River country.. Discovery/Treasure island.
There have been plans for river country but not so much for discovery island.I don't think they'll EVER do anything with Discovery Island, but maybe in the future they'll do SOMETHING to River Country? Hopefully.

Every few months to a year the River Country DVC project comes back around. There are plans on the internet for the project. Thanks for the info! Anything for River Country that's got staying power?
Big development in the Muppet rumor. Permit was filed for Pizza planet with the name Muppet B complex. The expiration is November 30, 2017. Same people who worked on Fantasyland are doing this.

Since Disney has said Pizza Planet will re-open later this year, it's possible that they are going to do Pizza Planet first, and then do something with Mama Melrose. The permit work area does cover both resturants.
Reports are always hit or miss...Mama Melrose was the best meal we have had at WDW this year. My whole family agreed.
Wouldn't be sad to see Mamas go. Had lunch there yesterday and flavor has definitely left the menu, we did have a charming waitress tho.
I think Disney World Italian food depends a lot on the pallet - the quality of Italian food varies wildly around the country. If your idea of good Italian is Olive Garden, then the food at Tony's and Mama Melrose is probably great.
We ate at Tony's for the first time this past September. The food was perfectly acceptable, but far from great. I would not call it great because it was "generic Italian" and I grew up where there were a lot of mafia-run restaurants that were absolutely amazing and Tony's (and I presume Mama Melrose) can't hold a candle to that. I also don't think there are any great Italian restaurants where I live either.
