DHL - Checking In Early?

We will be arriving in LA on Friday evening, but are going to spend 1 night at a neighboring hotel before checking into the Disneyland Hotel. Is it possible to check-in early at the hotel to beat the afternoon lines? When we stayed at Walt Disney World in January, we were able to check-in early in the morning, and then were given a number to call to see if the room was ready. When we checked-in, we were given room keys. So, as soon as the phone number that we called said our room was ready, we could go directly to the room and avoid the afternoon check-in lines. Is this something that is possible at DLH also?
Also, are the hotel room keys also the park entrance tickets? When checking-in, can they connect my park hopper to my key so I only have to carry one thing around?

We were just there last week, and checked into the DLH at about 8 AM (after being in Hollywood for two days). They were able to check us in at that point but not give us the room or the keys, and we left our luggage with bell services.

No, your park tickets cannot be put on your room key, and you can't charge with your room key either (they give you a little slip of paper that is valid for charging, but you need a photo ID to use it and it didn't seem worth it to me).

We came back to the hotel around 3, went to a different line (Information) and were given our room keys. Once in the room, we called bell services to get the luggage (warning -- it took about 25 minutes to arrive, so don't plan on leaving the room right away).

We were there a few weeks ago at GCH. We were told you can't get into your room before 3PM. And that was the fact.
