booked our next trip! it's a small and stupid argument, but i feel better knowing that i have something to look forward to! next february, me and the kids will be at PC! DH just doesn't get disney, so he'll have his vacation at home with no kids/wife! i can't wait!

Sorry to hear of your woes! I wouldn't let a little thing like a DH keep me from my favorite place, either. Keep trying, maybe he will eventually "get it". I thought my husband was a lost cause and he actually brought up the idea of our trip we have planned now. Plus, today is our 11th anniversary and he gave me this huge card and when I opened it Minnie and Mickey were kissing and he had written in parantheses (that is us). The funny thing is I had bought a frame of the same minnie and mickey kissing and put a picture of us kissing inside from when we were dating and he loved it and happily put it front and center on our entertainment center. Totally in synch and I thought that would never happen!!!

I always go to WDW without DH. He just doesn't get it and neither does our son. So I take my mom and my 5 y/o and go without them. We go twice a year and DH and DS stay home and have their fun. DH has never once thought he was missing out on anything by staying home. On the contrary. He gets to golf and boat to his hearts content!

I started taking my kids without my DH after he went to Colorado on a hunting trip without us. That was 9 or 10 years ago. I figured if he could spend 2 grand on himself, I could spend that plus some on myself and my kids! He also doesn't get DW, but will go with us for 3-4 days. We like to go for 2 weeks (that's how long I went after he went to CO) and now it's become a yearly trip. He never said a thing (I think he knew he didn't have a leg to stand on when figuring the cost). We always have a great time, with or without DH.

My husband LOVES it when I go away to WDW and the kids go to my moms (or with me). And heck, it saves us money if he doesn't go so HOORAY!
