First, he said, "If we go to WDW in 2008 and we're planning spring break in 2010, we are NOT going in 2009". Well, he decided to willingly come along in June of 2009.

Then, "Since we went in 2009 and we're going in 2010 and again in 2012 with your parents, we are NOT going in 2011"....

Today, DD6 says, "Daddy, can I go to the Boardwalk for my birthday next year?" (Her birthday is June 23) DH says, "I'm sure you can talk your mother into taking you;)". She looks at him and says, "Aren't you going to come too?"

DH says, "Yeah, I think I can come along too".......:faint:.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing! My anti-Disney DH was actually agreeing to come on a trip that was still just a hypothesis in my mind!

Oh, the joy!!! I have another trip to plan:yay::banana::cool1:. This is perfect timing since we are only 6 weeks out from our next trip and I don't have anything left to plan for this one. We'll have to borrow points since I used up all of our 2009, 2010 and 2011 points for this year's Easter trip. My dad is paying to take the entire extended family in June of 2012 so we won't be using points in 2012. We were initially planning on banking them and going in 2013 and 2014.

Now, I am planning on using 90 points next year and bank the remaining 10. Then in 2013, we'll do another studio stay (probably at OKW for 70 points) and bank the remaining 40. That will leave us with at least 140 points for spring break 2014. We would also have all 100 available to borrow too. Luckily, our spring break is always the first week of April and that does not fall around Easter 2014 so the points will be a little cheaper.

Back on topic...

Apparently the kids want Boardwalk. Like I said, it has to be a studio. I think we really want a room near the pool since the kids are obsessed with the clown pool:laughing:. IF there were one available, I would rather snag a standard studio, but I am not planning on it. I'd love to save the points since we own so few, but I know that it will be almost impossible at 7 months.

This trip could end up being very affordable too. Since my parents are treating the entire family to a trip in 2012, my dad has offered to give us our 7-day park hoppers early. This way, we can upgrade them to DVC AP's and use them for both trips. That brings our total ticket cost to about $425:woohoo:. AirTran just announced that they are going to start flying out of our local airport so no more 2.5 hour drives and airport hotel stays to worry about. I'm looking at a food/transportation/ticket budget of about $2200 for the 4 of us for 5 nights. From the time we return this April until the projected departure date in 2011, I will have acquired $1600 in direct deposits from my paycheck:teacher:. That leaves a mere $600 for me to save in MyPoints, Sunshine Rewards, Disney Visa Rewards, Discover Cashback Bonuses and AMEX rewards:cool2: (I do love the freebies:dance3:) AND, I have almost 16 months to do it in! I might even have enough left over to let DH go on a hunting trip:idea:. (Except I am pretty sure that is the ONLY reason he's agreed to come:rolleyes:)

Oh, let the planning begin!

The moral of the story is: never underestimate the power a little girl holds over her Daddy.:rotfl: Have fun planning!

sounds like my dh....
we went in may and october of 2009. dh says he thinks we'll skip wdw next year, maybe it's time to do something else.:sad1:
i said, sure, but ashley (our 25yo dd) and i are going in may. and you just have to do the planning if we go somewhere else.

boy, it was amazing how quickly he decided a sept wdw trip would be perfect ;)

We bought DVC when I was pregnant with out first. DH was happy to do it but wasn't sure we would love it or it was worth the money.

One day watching our little girl run into Belle's arms - he looked at me and said - Okay - DVC was worth it! Funny how seeing their kids light up at the site of their favorite castle or character melts their hearts!!!

DH gets crabby now if we don't go at least every 18 months!

Dh "tolerates" WDW for my sake but he's the one that screams the loudest on RnR and EE and keep getting back on over and over. WhatEVER, dude...
