So, DH needs glasses. He already went and has a prescrip. Now, where is the best place to go? (I wear glasses/contacts but I am BLIND and the last time I bought glasses was forever ago w/ insurance). His eyes are not horrible, just the R eye w/ .5 I think? He does work on the computer all day long.

So, where do we go?
Does he need the Anti Reflective/glare?
Any place come w/ a warranty? He is NOTORIOUS for breaking/losing sunglasses, so I am hoping this won't be the case! (I tell him this too :lmao:)

my boss ordered glasses from zenni optical and is happy with them.they have some pretty inexpensive ones on there. I plan on ordering DD glasses from there since I don't believe that the style she wants will be long lived.

if both eyes are the same I am a firm beliver in the "cheater"
glasses from the dollar store/walmart etc.

Otherwise coastal.com is awesome!!!

For real prescription glasses Costco is high quality and low price.

DH's insurance covers 1 pair of glasses per year as well as the optometry visits so I'd check your insurance first.

If not, I'd second the Costco vote. Last year when he lost his insurance-covered glasses in the ocean we bought a cheap-o pair from Walmart as a replacement, which DS5 broke while wrestling with DH, then we went and got a decent pair from Costco that wasn't too expensive. :thumbsup2

My husband just got some from here http://www.warbyparker.com/?gclid=CMe7vcmW4qwCFciC5QodIQinpQ. They only sell on line but the process was wonderful. You can order 5 pairs to try on at home and then decide. You send in the prescription and about a week later you have new glasses. They were fast, cheap and great looking, too. I believe my husband got "Larkin" as his frame. They look great on him and he's amazed at how much better he can see now. Great deal for $95.

We use EyeGlass World. They normally have a buy one get one free. And in the cheaper part of the store I can usually walk out paying only $100. :) And that is with the correction for a astigmatism.
