hi

DH is in africa not due back until the day before we fly. thats bad enough but hes emailed me a list of things to find out before we go as he has (as he calls it) pre holiday paranoia.

can anyone help with these things.

ok i have already asked this one but to double check. is it ok for our dd's to travel with 11 months on their passports?

we have to put the address we are staying at on our landing card but were staying in a tcd villa. where do we get the address from or what address do we put on the card if its just a general tcd one??? does the address come with the tickets before we fly? and am i rambing?

i think thats it for now?

any tcd holidayers who've stayed in villas got any good tips.

yeay 27 days to go

love

lucy

I am not sure about the passport but re the villa it is ok to put down the address of the TCD liaison people in Orlando. If you don't have that ring TCD and ask what that address is.

Hope you have a fabulous time!!!

You will receive a little booklet with your tickets which includes many things as well as the address for those all important immigration forms.

Collect your villa 'envelope' from the TCD desk at Sanford. If you pay your villa damages deposit there by credit card swipe, you don't need to mess around the next day trying to find the letting company offices.

We have stayed twice with TCD in villas, a few weeks ago at Santa Cruz. Both were allocated on arrival. Locations can vary all over the place down as far as Southern Dunes and all over HY27 and Kissimmee/192. Generally though, Southern Dunes is about as far as they go and this is a 30 mins drive to the nearest Disney park. When you are there use the I4 as this is usually the fastest as it obviously is not blighted with traffic lights but the downside is petrol tankers thundering past you doing 85mph which is quite unnerving at first.

Hope this helps

thanks thats really helpful info.

about the tankers. lucky for me dh is driving and hes used to driving in the usa. i dont think i dare i have enough trouble driving over here. my poor car looks like a ralley car or maybe even a bumper car. the good thing is that because i know im not going to be doing any driving over there we get insurance to cover him only, which is cheaper.

hehe im really excited now.

Hi Lucy

We did TCD in Aug stayed at Highlands Reserve Regal Palms.

The address is The Lake Buena Vista office to put on the imigration card (green one)

The only thing I would say is that if you are not happy with your allocation Villa get it changed straight away (before you unpack) we managed one night in the first villa before asking to be moved. The road noise was dreadful all night long and the villa was hardly furnished and filthy.
TCD did move us and charged us an extra £140.00 to do so.

Apart from this we had no other complaints about TCD and enjoyed the holiday just as much
(not as convenient as staying at AKL though !) ::MinnieMo

Have a great time :Pinkbounc

Hello,

We got back yesterday and had a great time. Stayed in a standard TCD villa on an estate called Westbury. About a 25min drive on the I-4 to the parks depending on the traffic. The villa was fantastic, spacious, lovely swimming pool, hairdryer, in fact everything you could think of. Travelled Sunshine Premium which was great. A small delay going and coming back, but nothing major. The best bit for us was Sanford Airport, from landing to driving our car it was 25mins!!!!!!!!!!!! Orlando airport should take note. Sorry I'm rambling. As for the villa address, the TCD flight staff will show you a video on how to fill the forms out and it's on there. Have a lovely time. :)

You must have 6 months validity left on your passport. We had a lot of fun in an Asian country where someone in our party had 5 months and 23 days left :earseek:
Got ugly there for a while.

With 11 months left they are fine.

Technically the US only require British passport holders to have validity to cover the length of their stay and it is some airlines who make the 6 months rule!
