and we discussed and agreed on excursions, budget, etc. Showed him the menus which all sound good to him
showed him the navigators - both reg & kid
And we still have 15.5 wks to go!
He's not usually one to discuss plans with me in this much detail

Cool for you! Sounds like you two are going to have a good time! :D

We're about the opposite! My DW thinks I'm obsessed and keeps asking what I'm going to do with my time when our trip is over! I just keep telling her I'll start planning our next trip!

My husband has told me he doesn't want to talk about the trip or any details about it until we are on the way to the airport. Well, that's happening on Friday! I guarantee you he has no idea of our plans for Friday night. (Raddison at the Port). After we pick up our car, I will just give him the directions.

The good part of all this is that I get to make all the decisions and plans!:D

The bad part of all this is that if he doesn't like my decisions and plans after the fact then I get all the complaints.

We are celebrating our 25th anniversary in October, and I guess he's learned that generally if *I'm* happy, then *he* will be happy. I trained him well!

Can your DH come over and teach my DH (AKA Grumpy). Cool for you!:D

you are very lucky. Like tstobb, my husband doesn't want to know much before we leave. That is so neat that you could get his take on things prior to the trip.

The opposite happened in my house, I finally got my DW to sit down yesterday for 15 minutes to discuss the plans I made for our 11 days in Disney including our 4 night cruise on 10/13. Although I have been giving her updates on the go, I really needed her input on a few things, such as do we do Palos, what excursions, what parks to visit on which days. The PS's have been made, airfare and car rental booked, MNSSHP tickets ordered and received, cruise and land package booked, extra days in Disney pre and post cruise have been reserved. All confirmation numbers logged into my trusty Passporter, and I have started to build the packing list of necessities.

I have done all of the planning for the trip for our family of 7 and I have enjoyed every minute of it. It's amazing how many details there are to think through, but I think with 60 days to go, everything is done, and best of all, everything is paid for. Now we just have to wait for the cruise documents and pack.

Without the DISBOARDS I would have been clueless - thanks everyone!

as always i did all the planning for this past trip....
and i'm already planning our cruise for 2005......
that's the earliest we can go again (when my daughter finishes her army service)....
talk about advance planning, eh.......

I am starting to think that my family will be glad when this vacation is over so I'll stop talking about it!!

I usually have some topic to bring up every day. My kids usually say "Ya dad, we know..." as if to hint to me that I have told them a hundred times! :)

Can I help it if I like family vacations?

My most recent obsession is with the Poly, since our CBR ressies got changed due to the closure. So now I am driving my family nuts by telling them all about the Poly! Although DH did spend some time this weekend reading about the restaurants at the resort.

We leave in 7 weeks so I am getting even more excited! :)

One week in WDW then 7-day Western on the Magic! Woo-hoo!

My kids are saying the same thing to me, I have to tone down my exuberance, but it's hard to do. Glad to hear that not all of the husbands leave the planning up to the wives.

I have only stayed onsite twice, once at the CBR and once at the Poly. You are going to love the Poly, great resort, great location, great food. Make sure you take some time to enjoy the hotel, the luau, pools etc.

We are staying at the Beach Club and the Swan this trip, I am especially excited about SAB and the proximity of these resorts to the parks.

Have a great time!

i totally obsess about our trips....
and the kids constantly make fun of me......immitating my line...."i'm sooo excited about ........."
but in the end they always have a GREAT time and thank me....soo....they can make fun all they like...

and as it happens they now can't stop talking about the next cruise......the disney one in 2005.....and one sooner than that if i can find a decent cruise line closer to home (in europe or the mediteranean)...

Before we went my DH said I would not have any fun since I knew everything and the kids were laughing at me.
During and after they were pleased that we didn't miss certain events. Thanks to this board for many suggestions/hints.
Now they are laughing because I am still on this board almost every day-even though the possibility of a next cruise is a couple years away.

DS just came in from Scouts and found me online. His comment? Gosh mom, you just got home from 4 days in the wilderness without computer access...so why doesn't it surprise me that the first free moment you're on the boards? I keep reassuring him that once school starts I won't have time to do this nearly every day.

Then I groan inwardly because I won't have time to do this nearly every day!:)
