First of all, sorry to hear about the job loss. That can be very scary, but at the same time, it opens up a lot of opportunities for growth as well. If a person is willing to work, there is always a job available, even if the first one he gets isn't one he wants to keep forever. Don't panic, use your common sense, and you'll both be fine.
Second, really enjoy this Disney trip. When DH gets a new job, he may not get vacation time for a while, so make the most of this opportunity. Do not feel guilty about it. I understand that you feel it won't be the vacation you dreamed about because you may not want to spend any more than you have to. Instead of taking that $1000 to spend, allow each of you a smaller amount to have a little fun with (and it's guilt free fun, OK?). Sometimes I go for a week, eat at TS and buy lots of souvenirs. Sometimes I go for a week, eat CS, and the only souvenir I buy is a Mickey balloon. I have a good time on both types of trips. If you have a little bit to maybe have a couple drinks by the pool, or to buy a cute shirt, etc., it won't feel like you're skimping so much. As expensive as Disney can be, it's surprising what you can do with very little.
Third (and it's been said more than once, and deserves to be said again) take this time to focus on the two of you. You're a team, you're in this together. Don't let the stress pull you apart. Use it to make you stronger together. By this time next year, I bet you'll look back on this as one of the best things that could have happened. And you'll be planning another Disney trip (just a hunch!).
