He's buying airline tickets for the rest of the family to go to DISCON!!!
He asked me if I really bought my airline ticket and then he says , well, I guess we have to buy three more, I'm not splitting the family. I am mad!! I wanted to take a well deserved break by myself and now I cannot even do that, well I told him to get ready to do a lot of babysitting because there would be things where I would go to by myself.
I could cry right now....but I'm thankful that I am going!!

UPDATE:
5 minutes after he left for work he called and said he does not believe going is a good idea for them because I will have so many things to do and they would also have to give up Christmas. This man is going to drive me nuts!!

Sounds like he wants to share something that you enjoy. This is a good thing. Also sound like he understands you are looking forward to a little time to yourself. Also a good thing.

I think it was Doris Day who sang, "Trust the Force" or was that "What ever will be will be."

An spouce that wants to join in the things you enjoy is a good thing. How anout starting off by getting him on the boards and planning a family trip to WDW that you both can give the kids?

(This is Zurgswife's method of operation, what ever happens and when ever possible, plan another trip to Disney World)

Kim, that is not an option with my DH , he does not enjoy disney as much as we do!:(

Maybe he was just testing you to see if you really wanted them to come. By your reaction he probably realized it was not a good idea :)

I think that your fellow DISers can keep you so busy and laughing that you might even forget that you have some tag-alongs - maybe he will get the DIS bug watching you have so much fun - there's always hope.

LOL Kanga! Didn't you tell me this would happen??;) Good luck on his changing his mind over and over, you know it will keep happening for the next 4 months!! LOL

Kanga, my first response was Where's the Baileys!

Sorry he keeps hopping on the IwantogoIdon'twanttogo band wagon! It has absolutely nothing to do with not wanting to take a vacation with spouse, it is ALL about wanting to go to DisCon and meet up with all your friends! I am there with you on that one!

Luckily, Pumbaa_'s DH let's her indulge her obsession (maybe not fully understand it, but that is another thread!) without guilt. I don't do guilt very well. I guess that part of Catholic school didn;t stick very well!

Glad you are back on solo, and hopefully your DH mood swings will abate soon. ;)

:::shaking head sadly::: Olga, I'm afraid you might have failed his little 'does she really love us?' test. :(

Next time you might want to try the softer and more subtle way of saying; "what the h*ll do you mean you want to come and bring the kids and ruin my 'I'm a grown-up too and I want to have fun dangit!' little get-away?!?!" LOL ;)

That was a close call. ;)

Tia.....if they come he will babysit A LOT, but the way it looks right now they won't be coming,....then again , we have 4 more months he can play and change his mind....but I WILL do my own things!!!
