We will be on the magic on Saturday and DH wants to know if he will be able to watch the UNC game? Has anyone been sailing during the NCAA basketball final four? Does Diversions broadcast CBS?

Carolina grad, here!

I almost think the possibility of missing UNC winning the national title would cause me to cancel my trip! :flower:

oneeyedguy is right, I think you will be able to see the game in the sports bar.

Go Tarheels! :cheer2:

Mickeyboat-
DH already threatened to not get on the boat on Saturday!!! I told him too bad but I am not a grad of UNC so I guess I don't completely understand. He will be thrilled to know that he won't miss a moment of the game!

If anyone is looking for him I'm sure he will be the one in the bar with the Tarheels tshirt on. He has a closet full of them and even a few from when he graduated 10 years ago that he hasn't worn yet!

Go Heels! :cheer2:

Does your DH still have any blue plastic "Carolina Fever" cups? He should being one along to really get into the spirit.

I finally threw away most of mine a few years ago, but I still have a few. I think I will get them out Saturday.

He still has a can from the Carolina tarheel soda from the 1993 National Championship. I made him dump out the soda about 4 yrs ago when it started to leak. He does still have some Carolina cups but most have been used so much that you can hardley read them and some cracked so they were thrown out. I think we still have a blue one somewhere. I should pack it and suprise him.

I am a Kansas Fan- would be glad to take his place on the cruise. Would make me sad to see Roy Williams win a championship for another school!

I still have my Carolina Blue soda can from the 1982 championship team (and a blue & white basketball signed by the whole team). The blue soda ate a hole in the can years ago so I had to empty it but the poptop is still intact. ;)

As a Spartan grad, I sincerely hope that he needs to utilize all of the other things to do on Magic to forget about the game when it's done. Win or lose, I'm sure you guys will have a great time.

We'll be on Magic a week from Saturday. Our first cruise. Just a little bit excited.

There's not a better place than a Disney cruise to see your team win! We were on when they had the ESPN sky box and saw Maryland win...I think that was 2002.

Cornell hasn't made the tournament since 1988, and that was a 40 point tagging in the first round by Arizona, so I don't really have a dog in the fight, but as a college hoops fan I have been to four final fours, four sweet sixteens and regional finals, and a first rounder or two. Y'all needed to collect Coke in bottles, not cans--my Coke bottle collection (see my defense of Coke entries in the pepsi thread!) includes the '82 National Championship team commemorative in the old, tall 10 oz. straight sided bottle since discontinued, and it is holding up fine. Have the '83 Jimmy V team bottle, too, from that cow college down the road.

My understanding is that the adults only parameters of Diversions remain in effect, so the second game of the final four will become an adults only zone, and I expect the game to (hopefully) also be shown in the promenade lounge on a drop down big screen. We were on the Wonder during NFL playoffs and the games were shown in both locations, so that is my basis for that assumption. DS, 9, has been to a final four and a regional already and if he wants to watch, I want to watch w/ him.

Saw Louisville in person this year from about the 10th row when they played Tulane (okay, so my law school doesn't exactly have a dog in the fight, either!) and they are so darned quick and athletic, I picked them on my draw sheet. But wouldn't bother me to see any of the teams that don't wear orange win (grudge from how obnoxious the Illini fans were in Seattle at the '89 final four--it was so much fun to see them lose that year!)

My DH would love to watch the game on the big screen. UNC was playing in Syracuse this past weekend and my husband had tickets given to him and could of gone on Easter Sunday but Syracuse is about a 4 hour drive from us and the fact that we are leaving tomorrow (OMG!!!) he decided to no go considering he has ALOT to do at the office before we leave and probably would of missed most of Monday at work. I felt really guilty that he didn't go esp after they won. Hopefully someday he will get to relive the glory days and see them play in person again.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but this is the year of the Illini.
After that dramatic win over Arizona, they are the team of destiny.

Next time anyone has extra tickets to a UNC game, don't hesitate to contact me. :rotfl:

The closest I have gotten in recent years was to a UNC/Duke women's game in February at Duke. UNC whipped the pants off of those girls, I was so proud.

I have such fond memories of camping out for games when I was in college and screaming my guts out at the games. Those were the days!

How are they going to win it all when Louisville is going to be beating them in the next round? :goodvibes

Go Green!
Go White!
Victory for MSU!
:cool1:

Sorry...I just couldn't resist chiming in! We watched MSU's victory over Kentucky in the Outer Rim Lounge at the Contemporary with a bunch of Spartans...a great time was had by all. I'm sure watching the game in Diversions will be awesome!

Happy Cruising!

You must have forgotten that Roy Williams is coaching, he always finds away to lose the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
