Our first Disney trip happened in August (I went as a kid, DH had been to Orlando but never WDW- how??? I don't know!) anyway- he went very much under duress as my sister was a dis bride so we had to be there, it had been on our "to do" list but not for a few more years... DH was very apprehensive and would not at ALL believe it would be worth the money, the stress, the 10 hour flight etc

We returned late August and DH has been set we definitely need to go again when the kids are a little older and then on the weekend he told me he really wants to go with his family (we travelled with my parents & sister this time) and to start planning we're spending either Christmas or Halloween 2009 in Disneyland Paris with SIL and all ten kids!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Have to trek out and find those DLP guides now! :woohoo:

(Not to mention he's pencilled in as 2010 or 2011 a good time to return to WDW :yay: )

I'm a happy woman... it took me 11 years to get the man on a plane and now he wants to see the world one Disney at a time :lmao:

That is great!! I would ove to go to DLP!! Now he is hooked and can't get enough. Have fun planning.:cool1:

Release the hounds!!!!

Dh says when he mentions Disney that's what he hears in his head. He knows once it's said there is no going back.

Have a wonderful trip!

Paris is the short-hop for us being in the UK, he's thinking short break (3 or 4 nights I think) and sil is entirely happy for me to plan and just let her know what it's going to cost - all the kids get on fabulously so that will work well (although we do look like a daycare outing at times :lmao: )

Very cool!

Definitely read lots of trip reports so your expectations are set at the right level. I've read more than once that DLP isn't the magical experience that WDW and DLR are, with line cutting being the norm and OK, and so on.

I would rather go to Tokyo DisneySea, but that's mainly b/c it's hard to imagine being in Europe and not being in Ireland the whole time. :)

Tokyo would be waaaaaay out of our budget so soon after WDW (we're UK based so France is an affordable airfare, tokyo puts it into big, big figures for airfare- our airfare for WDW was around $5500 so i can't imagine airfare to Tokyo from London)

The line cutting etc probably won't come as much of a shock to me... our biggest WDW shock was how polite USA is in comparison to the UK.
