DH has herniated disc, DAS appropriate?

At home i alternately use a cane, a regular walker, a rolling walker with a seat, or an electric scooter. It just depends on the condition of my back and joints at the time. Starting last year, i regularly rent an ECV at WDW or Disneyland. i understand how your husband feels. My husband has a bad back and knees. But no matter how badly they are paining him, he will NOT use an ECV. And the fun part is, when he doesn't, he is a royal pain to everyone around him - not only with slowing everyone down, but with his exclamations of pain and the excruciating look on his face. Maybe suggest to your husband to at least use a rolling walker with a seat. They're very convenient and provide a nice chair for whenever you need it.

DH has herniated discs and spinal stenosis. The first time I rented a wheel chair and he was reluctant. The next time I rented a scooter from off-site and had it delivered to the pre-cruise hotel, then we took it on the cruise and then back to the resorts. He was self conscience but thanked me over and over. Now we are going
on the 14 night east bound panama canal cruise and am renting a scooter for the entire time. Our HC cabin is all the way in the front and restaurants are in the mid or back of the ship. It will be his choice but he is so much happier using the scooter. He also needs an accessible bathroom, so since there are so few on the
Wonder, I booked a 9A for us. He used the ECV when he is tired. Works for us.

So my husband has nerve damage that prevents him from walking long distances and on all three of the Disney vacations we have taken he has rented a scooter. He realized after one day that if he wanted it to be a good trip it was what would have to be. Didn't make him want one at home but we had a great honeymoon.
