Okay so a little history. DH cancelled our trip to DL May 4-8, said he was unable to get the time off of work. So after trying to explain this, he finally relizes that he was wrong for giving the vacation time to some one else!!!!

So now that he relizes how much the kids and I were counting on this. He is trying to make it up to us. Now one thing he did not relize is that I do still have ressies for July 15 - 20. But he also offered to take us the week after new years for a week. Which would you do. DH is not a great fan of large crowds, I think that is why he gave the vacation time away. (he will not admit this, oh well) Which time would you go? He does feel bad enough right now to where he will go at anytime to make this up to us.

We could also go in October. The kids have a fall break then. (DS-14, DD 12)
So when would you go? This time I am paying for everything ahead of time so he cannot cancel without loosing money, he would never do anything to loose money!!!

TIA,

July 15 - 20 is going to be mega crowded. If it was me, I personally wouldn't pick that week and crowds don't bother me.

I myself would go in October but that is just my choice.

I think that October would be a great time to go, but the week after New Years would probably have the lowest crowds. July would be fun for the 50th, but it will be packed to capacity and you probably would not get to do much.

My DH absolutely hates the crowds - so we always go off season. You won't necessarilt get Fantasmic or the Electric Parade, but sometimes the less stress and cheaper hotel rates are worth it. Fall Break is still pretty darn crowded at DLR - a lot of the northern CA schools all have Fall break at the same time and there is a mad rush for SO CA. I would vote for January - although I know it would be awful waiting that long since you've been planning to go in July! But really - the crowds will be outrageous - and if your DH really doesn't like that - you may end up with a miserable trip. Good luck - and have fun no matter what!

I'd vote for October when the weather is still pretty dry and the days can still be warm.

Dec-Mar is typically our rainy season, and you can't really choose a time that will definitely be dry during that time.
