My DH recently told me we should go to Disney alone for our 16th Anniversary. I'm in the process of getting sitters for our 3 DD's & going to call DVC today to make our ressies. (of course my girls are going to have a fit)

I'm also thinking of places for us to eat for dinner (or even a nice lunch) that we usually don't try when we go with our girls. Here are the ones I thought of:

--Fulton's Crab House
--Yachtman's Steakhouse
--Victoria & Albert's

Any others you think we should try? I love seafood.

Thanks for your opinions. :)

Can't comment on YSH but V&As and FCH are a must. If it is just the two of you and you want something really special then I would say go for it. I have eaten at both restaurants 4 times and have never had a bad meal and have come away with lots of special memories.

Hope you have a great time!!

We just returned (DH & I) and had some fine dining experiences at these restaruants:

California Grill - the food and service was wonderful. We shared the smoked salmon flatbread, I had the rock shrimp cesar salad and then the seared tuna entree. It was delicious and the view was incerdible. You can time it with the MK fireworks. After dinner take a walk on the observation deck. It was a memorable meal!

Citricos- It was so good we ate here twice. The grilled shrimp appetizer is delicious and so was the swordfish. The service is perfect and if you like wine they have wine parings. The chef also comes to every table to chat - lovely!

Bistro de Paris - In the France Pavillion at WS. This meal was teriffic. it is upstairs from Chefs de France. Very romantic, very leisurely delicious meal. I had Oysters and the lobster entree. It is an entire main lobster, out of the shell on a bed of very light seafood based sauce. It soudns heavy, but it is not as there is no cream in the sauce and its not swimming in it, it just enhanced the flavor of the lobster. We split the souffle for dessert and it was the best I ever had.

As you can see I love seafood also - there are other choices on every menu and they all offer every kind of meat. I always order fish or seafood every dish I ordered was fantastic and all had a different flair!

We did go to Narcoosees, and a lot of people here like it. We walked out, after speaking to the manager. The service was terrible, and it is very noisy as the acoustics are terrible. They have also changed their menu and was not the same as it was on our last visit. We were very disappointed.

Hope this helps you

OOOPS! forgot to add V&A. We did not dine there this trip but we did last year and it was perfect in every way. You will not be disappointed. It is truly a special occasion dining experience, you will love it!

V & A's would be a great place to celebrate an anniversary - the atmosphere, food, and service will make it extra special!

For seafood, I would also have to suggest Flying Fish. My favorite! Great fresh appetizers and entrees. We enjoyed dinner there on our 3rd anniversary, and will be returning for our 5th on 10/24. :)

Well Gonga added Citrico's and CG, which are always musts for us. I'd also add JIKO--my absolute FAVORITE, Narcooses, and Shula's.

If I had to choose five, it would be:

Jiko
Citrico's
CG
Fulton's/Shula's (summer/winter)
Narcooses

Artists Point is also beautiful, although my meal and service were poor...but I think I hit on a really off night, as I seem to be the only one who ever had a bad experience there.

If you are going for steak and want better then the YSH go to Shula's. Order smart and it is within the same price range!
