Dh was drug to Epcot when he was 5, and doesn't remember anything fun about it! He refuses to go with DD and I. Thinking of sending him bass fishing half a day or so. Recommendations for charters outside Disney?

Is he totally against giving it a 2nd chance? It would be a shame for him to miss out on Epcot because of a memory from so many years ago! Even though it is quite different from the other parks my entire family loves Epcot!

Does he like to eat?? Tell him you guys can "eat around the world". This tempts my DH. At the same time, your DD can get her KidCot Fun Station Mask stamped.

Or maybe he would like to "Drink around the world". He can get a beer or cocktail in each of the countries.

It would be too bad if he misses this completely. EPCOT is my & DH's favorite park - even my 2 kids too.

He can fish in Seven Seas Lagoon (catch and release only).

Hi, aksunshine. I don't know when you are going to WDW and Epcot, but tell him not to miss Illuminations fireworks show at night. You can feel the heat from the fire.

And they didn't have Fast Track, or Mission Space or Soarin' when he was there.

And depending on what he likes to eat, Canada's Le Cellier restaurant is my favorite place to have steak, and cheese soup, and prezel bread sticks. This is new since he has been there.

And if he just won't go during the day, maybe you could convince him to go for a short time in the evening and night and do the above rides, eat dinner and watch Illuminations.

And either before or after he could watch baseball or football at the ESPN restaruant on the Boardwalk.

Actually all of you would like the Boardwalk in the evening.

There is a International Gateway entrance/exit located between the United Kingdom pavilion and France Pavilion.

From there you can walk or take a WDW boat launch to the Boardwalk.

I hope that he goes with you.

Sincerely, Ray

he can definitely fish at WDW>

there is one at Bay Lake (near FW/WL/VWL).

and one at seven seas lake.

he can easily go fishing at FW.

at WDW he doesn't need a fishing license for the state of FL.

outside of WDW he does - if he has it (maybe these places can help even if he doesn't)

I don't fish - grandmother did. But I think someone says that Capt Bob was fine.

Thanks everyone! DH's B-day falls right after trip, so I was thinking the fishing trip would be a perfect gift for him.Unfortunately, I can't convince him with rides, he really doesn't like them that much. I am planning on having him meet us at international gateway before dinner and Illuminations. Planned on eating at Marrakesh, should we try somewhere on the Boardwalk instead?

Didn't want to send him fishing with-in WDW because trips are only 2 hrs and cost as much as 4 hrs I've seen else where. I was just curious if anyone had done any fishing with a charter in the area that could be recommended while DD and I enjoy ourselves! :earboy2:

if he had his own rod/reel or even if he doesn't. He can still go fishing at FW.

now the lake fishing you need a boat (boats can only be WDW and they too are expensive). but FW has lots of canals - fishing is fine here too and can be done on your own (if you want).

but I think for bass fishing you need the lake???? not really sure.

:paw: As much as I love Epcot it would be a tough choice between that & fishing!! :rotfl: I liked the food at Morroco ,also worth considering - Norway & Germany -who both do buffet style meals,we normally pick one of these for lunch then choose Morroco for dinner.
