DH booked the Desert Palms hotel. Good? Bad?

DH booked the Desert Palms hotel for our first DL visit. Can anyone tell me if this hotel is favorable/unfavorable? It is supposed to be very close to the park.

Its next door to the candy cane inn. Its probably a 10-15 min. walk to the gate. There is a 7-11 right there on the corner as well. You might check
tripadvisor.com for info on the hotel.

Ditto the above response. Besides tripadvisor.com, Yahoo travel and Expedia travel also have reviews from travelers on hotels. I just booked Embassy Suites Anaheim South for our trip in July. I researched a great deal on the off-site hotels directly across from DL and really paid attention to the very recent reviews. I know that you may get the once-in-awhile traveler who has had a bad experience, but in myself a red flag goes up when there is consistent comments about someplace in need of upgrading, poor service, dirty, etc. in those very recent reviews.
