DH being mobilized

This is my biggest fear I feel we've been living since 9/11. I can't wait for this to all be over. We feel like our life is on hold somewhat. Too hard to try to think about long term plans...because we never know where he'll be. I'm so tired of cancelling out on people because DH got activated for this or that.

This week it's the Democratic National Convention in Boston; matter of fact today; his day off...and that's where they called him into to. Next week he's off to Texas. Then home for a week, then off to another week in Washington DC.

Over 21 yrs of this is wearing thin.

We are waiting word on our son's deployment. Not happy times for sure.

I am sad every time I read one of these. My DH has been deployed several times over the years and agrees it is much harder once you have kids. (he left the Nat'l Guard after 9 mos. in Bosnia-after Panama, the Persian Gulf, and that-he had enough)
I'm so sorry your family has to experience this. Please keep us posted and I pray he comes home safely.

I am a retired military wife..did over 20 years with my DH and I know how hard it is......{{{HUGS}}}...My DS and DSIL were both deployed during the war and DS is going to be deployed again soon...My prayers are with you and you family, we are all in this together.

Our prayers are with you and your family! I, too, have been deployed....I was in the Gulf on the when the USS COLE was attacked in Yemen.....and it was a very tough time for us all. During the last year, I received the call to go to Iraq twice, but never wound up going. It is all over for me now...I've been out since January, but can sympathize with you and pray for your husband.

You both are true American heroes...even if you don't feel like you are! God bless you!
