DH annual Christmas Eve shopping..

Dh waits until last minute to shop every year and every year he says he will never do it again....Poor dd17 goes with him and tries to help him find me a present....I think it has become somewhat of a tradition....I am the worlds hardest person to shop for as I buy what I need when I need it....So it is always interesting what they come up with....

The tradition started with oldest dd who is now 27 and married....He was in his glory for a few years when he had both dd's go with him to shop for Mom's presents....Now the reigns have passed to youngest dd and off they go....I think that is his best Christmas present....getting to have her "help" him....The two of them arrive back at the house, sneaking in the bags, rounding up the gift wrap, tap and scissors and hiding the gifts behind the presents already under the tree....

I used to do this until about 4 years ago when I locked my keys inside my truck.

I was standing in the parking lot of the mall at 8:30 p.m. with my arms full of crap, keys in the ignition & it was about 35 degrees and raining.

Merry Freakin' Christmas.

Fortunately I was able to force my way into the vehicle without causing any major and permanent damage.

But never again.
