DGC theme park view worth it?

The LAST picture in that set - you can see the villas next to the deck! We were in the 2 bedroom same level as that deck and noticed people watching ME watch the show from my balcony...... very odd feeling!

We've stayed at the GC three times, once with a pool view, once with a courtyard view, and another with standard view. While the view can be nice, whether it is worth it to you depends on how much you value the view (I know, duh) and how much time you plan spending in your room. While we value a view to some degree, we rarely spend a substantial amount of our time in the room looking outside (only go there for sleeping/napping). Thus, if it's available, we will take the standard view room and save the money (our upcoming trip is GC with a standard view).

I understand the go big or go home mentality--however, if staying at the GC means you can only afford (or only want to pay for) a standard view, I think you get a lot of value by being so close to the parks (especially for mid-day naps) and having the Resort Hotel Guests' DCA entrance so close.

I mean, it's not like being inside the park and watching it in person, but that's not a bad view at all! If you are worried about an early morning or something, I sure as heck wouldn't mind watching WOC from this deck and then heading off to sleepyland.

That view does look pretty good not to mention you don't have to show up early to wait around and stand. What do you miss out on by watching from the hotel? My husband is not one for showing up early to watch fireworks, etc... I'm thinking of trying to show up in time for Fantasmic on the August 24th but having to wait around so long just to get a spot will definitely not be a fun way to start our trip! DD11 and DD24 want to see it. We've seen it at WDW and liked it years ago before DD11 was born.

OH, are the 300 odds rooms standard view or theme park?

...are the 300 odds rooms standard view or theme park?
The panoramic view I posted is Concierge Theme Park View, on the 5th floor :thumbsup2

There is no map of view types, my best guess:
The upper floors in this area are likely Theme Park View, and lower floors are likely Woods view (perhaps standard view).
