DFW to MCO Airfare!!!

Hey, guys!!! For those of us in the DFW area....I have been watching fares on AA.com for a month now, and the cheapest I have found was $232. Well, this morning, the price went down to $205!!! I was excited!

I don't forecast the airfare going down very much further. My travel is for middle to late May. Thought I would pass it on to you folks!! Happy WDW planning!!!

I'm a fellow (or like we say "fella") Texas and I too was needing airfare to WDW for the first week of May. I couldn't find any cheaper than $232 either and I even changed our days to Wednesday just to get that. What website did you find the $205 and what day of departure?

OH NO!!! It must have been a morning deal, because I just went on aa.com and looked for my dates, and the prices are back up to $232!!!

I am sorry...maybe check tomorrow morning, becuase I booked them this morning. My dates are May 15th to May 23rd.

I paid the $232 rate for our August tickets because I get all fidgety if I wait. I have to purchase the tickets as soon as I have the dates for our trip - I am sort of high strung that way.

ANYWAY...
Did you all see that Spirit is starting service out of DFW? You can go to Orlando, but they take you to Ft. Lauderdale first. The prices I worked out the other day didn't come out THAT much cheaper (like $10 per ticket) and you end up wasting a lot of time in Ft. Lauderdale, but the fares MIGHT be low enough sometimes to make it worthwhile.

The other thing DH and I talked about was renting a car to go from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando but without knowing the distance we couldn't tell if that would make sense or not. It would also depend on the cost of the rental car.

I am also signed up on Travelocity for e-mail notification for fare changes between DFW & MCO. Nothing has changed for a few weeks now. But I did get a 10% off coupon in the mail yesterday for AA - purchase by 3/31/06 and travel by 5/31/06. Don't think we'll make it anywhere before the end of May, but you never can tell!
