DFW radio station is playing continuous. . .

Christmas music already!! Does anyone else think it's just a tad early for that . I won't be tuning in to Sunny 97.9 FM anymore - at least not for a while. I don't want to be sick of Christmas music before Thanksgiving even gets a chance to roll around . Normally the station is okay and plays '60s, '70s, and '80s music.

I think we have a local station that does that, too. I don't know if they've started that yet. I'm sure it will be soon.

I was passing through Dallas yesterday on my way home from Sherman, and was scanning the radio stations. 97.9 was on a commercial break when I picked them up and I heard them say they were starting their Christmas music already. This is way too soon. Our local version of 97.9 (99.1) plays Christmas music non-stop, but at least they wait until after Thanksgiving.

This past weekend our radio station here was playing them, but went back to regular songs with a few Christmas songs in between. Last year the first radio staion started ALL holiday music on November 1 and then the other a few days later. That was a bit much...2 stations ALL holiday music

We have a station that does it, but I think they start the day after Thanksgiving.

Too Early! Don't get me wrong....after thanksgiving I'm pretty much on constant Christmas Music myself. But that's 3 weeks away.

I don't think any of our radio stations have started that yet. We have a digital cable station on Comcast called "Sounds of the Seasons" and they turned over to Christmas music (non-stop) on November 3rd. (It was Halloween music before that! ) I'm ok with it, I guess...

one of the stations here in Cincinnati is doing it too! I think it is way to early - they must have very few listeners if they can afford to switch to Christmas music now!

Krista--when DH alerted me to this over the weekend, I had a screaming fit and yelled obscenities at the clock radio. They are also putting up Xmas decorations at the mall. I walked around today after work and Santa's Workshop is ALREADY up, as are most of the hideous giant hanging baskets of faux Christmas roses (I don't know what they are really called..those red flowers that they sell a lot of during Dec. We always called 'em Christmas roses...)and the strings of icicle lights that hang from the ceiling.

Ugh. If I weren't DS's first Christmas..I'd be tempted to skip it altogether.
