DFTW Supplies

We are trying to decide whether or not we should purchase cake cutter/server, toasting glasses, etc... In our survey form that we have to fill out for our coordinator it says you can 'rent/borrow' these items from DFTW. So I have 2 questions.

How much does it cost to rent/borrow these items?
How much does it cost to buy them from DFTW?

I have seen some cute stuff on Ebay with the DFTW logo on it, but didn't know if it would be cheaper to just buy it from DFTW or if the Ebay prices were a good deal.

The cake knife and server are $50 from DFTW. I don't believe there is a charge if you do not bring one or buy one (eg borrow).

I was told I could use my own. My dad bought them from Disneystore.com. Tanis just said to have Groom or someone give them to the WP there, before the ceremony.

My mother found a Beautiful set at Tuesday Morning in Gorham Crystal. She said they were a GREAT price, way less than $50! So, she told me not to buy any! I know that Tuesday Morning always has great things, so I'm sure they'll be beautiful! But they don't have DFTW on them! But I'm fine with crystal!!!

i bought our cake serving set from theknot.com on sale for like $25 & they were personalized with our names. we just included them in our boxes of reception & ceremony items to floral & our em. its nice having them i use the server whenever i make cakes, pies, etc.

DOH! I won the Ebay auction and got the DFTW ones for $30 with shipping. I see now that it's still high, but I guess I saved $20

I got my DFTW cake server set free! We signed up for the Disney Visa Card on the FTW website (I was planning on doing this already, plus they have a 1 year 0% offer).

Now my DF kids around with everyone, and tells them how I got a credit card just for the server set!

I already had the disney card - got it when they first came out and have been saving my disney points ever since just incase we had a disney wedding (glad i haven't been saving them for nothing!) So I made my DF get one after we got engaged so I could get the server set - I just HAD to have it

When did you get your card? I looked the other day and it was only 6 months 0%. I was bummed. But maybe you have to do it through FTW site?

Yeah, it was on the DFTW site... If you already applied, I'd call them & see what they can do...

I don't know why they have so many different offers on all of their different websites.

I did check the one on the DFTW site. I clicked on Guest Services and it pulled up the ad for the card, but they are offering a $15 Disney Store gift card. I haven't applied for it. I want to wait to see if I can find the one for the cake server.
