Df gifts?

Hi all! I wanted to give my hunny a special gift on our wedding day...Did anyone one do this for your special someone? I would love to see what all of you DISBrides did TIA!

I was actually thinking about getting DF a groom's cake, because we're not having a wedding cake but I think he kinda wants one. SO I was going to surprise him at the rehearsal dinner with a groom's cake in some kind of Back to the Future thing, IF I can find someone to do it (Back to the Future is his fave movie, LOL!). If it doesn't work out, I have no clue if we're going to do gifts. I think it is traditional though to give each other wedding gifts.

DH and I did not. We bought our new house weeks before our wedding. We joked that he gave me a washer and I gave him a dryer (insert bad jokes about hot air blowing). But, we are very practical. He also bought me a new door for our first Christmas as a married couple. This year for valentines day I'm getting a new crock pot. We have always tried to save up for special gifts and given things we will both enjoy (new sheets, door, windows, insulation, etc).

I'm hoping to get tickets to the Circe Du Soleil Show in DTD and give them to DF. We had talked about going for our honeymoon but decided that we couldn't spend that much money, but I know he really wanted to go. So I think I'm going to get some as a surprise for him

i did a surprise grooms cake (that was a handful to keep that one secret!!) -

and i bought him a limited edition vinylmation collectible that came with a gold pocket watch.

Thanks for the input all! Keep it coming! I love love LOVE the grooms cakes! I think people will be stuffed beyond capacity at that point since we are also planning a dessert party... So creative though! I love it!

We're getting married on Castaway Cay, so as I surprise I booked the last tandem parasailing excursion of the day! I'm having a real hard time keeping it secret though, lol

OMG that is a cake? That thing is incredible! I have been thinking about doing a groom's cake, and giving it to DF at our rehearsal dinner, but I'm not sure.

I don't know that DF even has a clue that is it traditional to exchange gifts before the wedding, so I am not expecting one from him haha. However I do think I'm going to do a boudoir photo shoot, and have a book of the pictures made for him. It's pretty much the only occasion I can think of where I can get away with doing something like that!

i think the boudoir idea is very cute... if i'd had time etc... i think i would like to have done that too - maybe an anniversary gift! i was surprised that trace got me a gift that day - more suprised that he'd gotten me these earrings i really liked in JULY!
