I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea for about 5 years, I have never had any benefit from cpap. Needless to say i don't use it anymore. I wake up with headaches and take naps daily. I am considering having my deviated septum corrected to see if it helps to decrease snoring. I recently lost 30 pounds and still snore the same, so I am living proof that weight does not effect sleep apnea. I am 5'3" and weigh 135. My husband has been sleeping on the couch for years.....I am only 40 years old, how embarrassing. From my research on the net it seems possible correcting deviated septum may work. My sleep doc doesn't think it will........
