developers points & rented points???

Can you combine developers points with rented points???

We have 2 BCV Studios booked for 1/29 - 2/4. If available I would like to change to a 2BR at OKW for the same dates. My problem is we have 175 developers points to use and an OKW 2BR would require 179 points, leaving me 4 points short! UGH!!! Is there a way I can rent the 4 points needed or would I have to drop a full day and rent points for that day???

We are taking friends with us for their first time and I'm now thinking that I would like to WOW them with the 2BR vs. just a studio. (Not alot of WOW factor there!) Also now I'm thinking that having the laundry facilities would be nice since there will also be 2 kids with us.

What are my options???

First off, you'd have to find a member who was willing to rent 4 points and have them transfered into your account. If you can, it won't be a problem. If you can't, you're only options will be to rent one night at OKW from a member and book the rest of the nights on your points. You're not allowed to borrow SSR points yet? Because that would be much easier to just borrow the 4 points. I'm guessing there is some sort of restriction since you've bought Phase II. Personally, I'd borrow the 4 points if I could.

Borrowing wouldn't work since your SSR building doesn't open until at least March. They won't let you use your own points until your units have been added to the program.

The transfer suggestion is a good one. You might have to pose the question directly to DVC as I doubt there are many here with experience in Developer's Points. Be certain that you are very clear in what you want to do. If the CM you speak to shows any hesitation in answering, stress the importance of the response and make sure you get the proper answer. The last thing you need is to arrange for a transfer only to be told "you can't do that."

Another suggestion: You could always increase your SSR purchase from 175 to 179 points.
