Developer reservation question?

I made our first reservation at SSR with our developer points. I was told that it would take a few weeks to get a confirmation letter, but I do have a reservation. They said that there was no confirmation number to give me. Does this sound right or am I missing something.

Same thing happened to me. It took about 1 1/2 weeks before I saw the confirmation on the dvc site. then another few days before I received the letter. from what they told me using the developer points needs to go through another department or something and it takes longer.
 
I didn't think reservations made with Developer Points ever show up on the DVC website. I currently have two vacations booked using Developer points and neither are listed on the website. I have received the confirmation papers in the mail. Should I be worried?

Developer points are not listed on your account because they are not your points, they belong to DVD. The points are processed by a project group at DVC Member Services. Developer points are not a priority, they already made the sale. Member Services can look up your Developer point processing status and verify your reservations. Don't be worried, be happy.

Thanks, I called and got a confirmation number. I feel better now - I am happy! Now, all I have to worry about is if we are going to drive or fly.........
 
I received a confirmation number when I booked, received a confirmation letter about 2 weeks later and within a month the ressie was online.
 
I have 2 bookings with Developer points and neither show on the website.
 
Interesting, because my developer reservation now shows up on the web site, along with a separate regular points reservation. It didn't at first, but it does now. And I know it's the developer points because I even discussed that with Member Services the other day in the context of another reservation. They don't show up in my account (and never did), but the 16 "left over" developer points show up as 2007 points on the website, but points that can't be banked. I also confirmed with MS that they are good for 1 year from receipt, even though that information doesn't show up.
