Developer Points and II

Hey all! We just bought in at SSR this year and got the double developer points (7 month plan). We orignally had planned to rent some of these out, but availibility being what it is, that didn't work out so well.

We have a trip scheduled for a 1BR and a studio (for family coming with) in December. That was about half of them. We now have around 250 developer points to use before February. We already banked all our 2007 points into next year.

Reading the information on II exchanges, it appears that points can be "deposited" there? Does anyone know if I would be able to start an II search with the developer points, and maybe extend their use?

We bought on our trip in June, going back in December, and we have to go to Michigan for a wedding in October (brrr...). I just can't figure out how to make use of the rest of these. Can't take the kids out of school too much...

The only other option I have come with is to just blow point on some Concierge Collection weekends this fall (e.g. Charleston or Asheville), but this just seems like a waste if I have any other options.

Please offer any advice you can think of. Trying to get creative here.

We're in the exact same situation. We are using about 188 of our dv points in Sept, and still have to blow 260 factoring in '06 points. I have a conference in Jan in Orlando, but work is picking up that bill, so I don't want to use points when I can stay at WDW on them.
We decided to book a 3 day cruise at the end our our Jan trip. My airfare is arlready covered by my work, so we figured we mine as well take advantage of it. We may be in the minority, but decided that we didn't want to do 3 WDW trips in one year. Unfortunately HH doesn't fit in our schedule for next summer. I'm glad we got the extra dv. It was the only way we could ever have enough points to use for a cruise, and we are using it for a special 10 year anniversary present to ourselves.

We tried but were unable to get a 2BR, and we found out that you can't waitlist with dv pts.
We tried to rent the points but everyone wanted BCV or BWV during W&F festival time or at Christmas and we weren't able to get the ressies for them. Our dv pts are the 7mth type, so no good after Jan 15th, which limits availability.

We thought about a cruise, but can't fit one into the schedule. Kids will be missing school for the Dec trip and for a family wedding in Oct.
