I thought I read it wrong when you said your entree was terrible. What a shame. It looks delish in the picture. I have fish there, never salmon, and its always been good. Glad the apps and desserts where a hit. I've had that bananas foster and it is excellent.

Really? I think it looks gross in the pic The fish wasn't bad but the combination of flavors was. I tried eating just the fish but it was really tough.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your meal at Brown Derby! At least the appetizers and desserts were good. I must say though, for a signature restaurant, you'd think they'd have real bread... those just look like those pillsbury dinner rolls you can get pre-baked in a package. Odd. Were they all crispy?

So more changes to our September/October trip! Anyone suprised???

Well this change is another member to our crew! My grandpa will be joining us!

Little did we know we would decide to be them for the Halloween party! Mom is being Mike, Grandpa is being Sully and I am being Boo

It was a bit eerie being back there with no one and we could hear all of the atmosphere sounds that we had never heard before! Sounds of traffic echoed through the streets and it felt like being back in New York

I was there once about 150 years ago when it was empty. But for the life of me I can't remember if there were sounds or not.

Isn't that a great show? I love Rumple... or more precisely the actor. I think he deserves an Emmy or something for his portrayal, don't you? The guy is scary good.

We had, had seeing Phineas and Ferb on our to do list so we headed over to see them but unfortunately the line was closed Oh well we had all day so we figured we would be back to see them later.

I was a huge fan of the new Muppet Movie and I am so excited they are making another one! Now I just wish they would update the actual Muppetvision 3d movie! I know that it is the last movie with Jim Henson as the voice but you could keep some of it and update the rest because really who likes that stupid 3d character anyway?!

Rant over we decided to head towards our lunch. On our way there we were stopped by some streetmosphere performers! I absolutely love DHS just because of the streetmosphere performers! This time we saw the chef and the cowboy and of course I had to take a pic!

I think my favorite memory of the last time we were there was the DDs interacting with one of the streetmosphere performers. It still (3 years later) comes up in conversation from time to time.

I was a bit nervous about this lunch because although the menu looked good I had heard some bad things about the restaurant on the DIS.

Interesting. I haven't checked the reviews in years. But I do recall when I first started checking here about 7 years ago that it was getting only good reviews.

Sad, that it's changed... and not for the better.

So the apps and desserts were worth going back for and the exemplary service!

Well two out of three ain't bad. I'm going to guess Art of Animation... No, wait. Back to the hotel for some pool time. Yeah, I'll go with that.

It is a great show! I am worried about the next season just because I am not sure if it will be as good as the first. He is very good and should be up for a Golden Globe. Idk if you watched Lost but he is definitely the new Ben Linus

Hi All! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! We sure did! On Friday we went to the American Idol Concert. Let me tell you....all 10 of those kids are super talented and if you can get tickets when the tour hits your town, GO! It was a Mother/Daughter night out and we had a blast! We were Colton and Philip fans all season and those boys were even better live! We also thought Joshua was great (although I didn't care for him on tv) and his amazing voice literally gave me goosebumps. The girls had lovely voices but for the most part they lacked the showmanship that seemed to come naturally to many of the guys. I hope a lot of those kids go on to be big stars

Anyway, time for another update and as luck would have it American Idol was the perfect way to start today's entry...

When Caitlin left off we were debating what to do next. Well it just so happened that an American Idol show was about to begin so in we went.

I must admit that when this attraction was first announced I was very skeptical. I really didn't think it would take off and I thought it would be rather lame. I readily admit I was wrong and we find the AI show to be a lot of fun and a great way to get out of the heat/cold/rain and rest your feet for a bit.

These were our "contestants". Who knows, maybe one of them will end up on American Idol's tv show!

We enjoyed the show and afterward Caitlin was feeling inspired so she decided to try out herself. Now this took a lot of bravery on her part because she hasn't sung before an audience in years. In middle and high school she was always in choir but she pretty much stopped singing after she graduated. So she got up her nerve and went in

While she was inside I took some pics of the area and grabbed her a fast pass for Star Tours.

When she came out she had a big smile on her face which looked like a great sign! She told me it was a fun experience and they told her she had a great voice but lacked confidence. They also told her if they hadnt already had country singers chosen for the next show she would have been in and she was fine with that. They told her to believe in herself and come back again

She ended up being really glad she tried and she proudly wore her button the rest of the day.

At this point in the day (around 4 pm) it was getting pretty chilly so we decided to head back to the resort for a rest and then return after changing into warmer clothes.

I'm going to end here because I know Caitlin will want to tell you about the very cute boys we met when we returned that evening

It's definitely not an attraction for everyone but it is fun for fans of the tv show.

Ahh I'm so jealous that yall got to go to the concert! My mom and sister and I are huge fans of the show and we've been to the concert for five different seasons, but this year they aren't coming anywhere near us! I love Joshua and Colton and Skylar. Sounds like yall had a great time!!

Aww, that was VERY brave for Caitlin to try out! Hopefully someday she'll be able to make it into the show!
