I have been checking every day. In fact, I've been checking 2-3 times everyday since mid-January. $79 each way is still the best I've seen for my dates in May. The day I found the $79 rate, it was $89 in the morning/afternoon, but switched to $79 in the evening and then back to $89 the next morning.

I noticed NWA tends to boost fares over the weekend, then back down on Monday.

I got 197 R/T for our May trip(5-8) on NWA in mid January.

Now starting to get ready to eyeball Thanksgiving 2007.

We are flying NWA on a Wednesday, returning on a Friday and paid $137.10 p/p, r/t, non-stop. We purchased in mid-November. This is also an early afternoon flight--we usually fly bright and early but are trying something different this trip.

I never luck into those .08 deals at Spirit either--I get the email and even if I'm right there when it arrives, by the time I click to the website--poof--no more availability.
