Destination Disneyland - T Minus 1 day and counting!!!

Good to hear from you Sue. Gosh that would have been scary, getting sick so quickly, and just you there with your daughter. Thank goodness you have quickly recovered. Hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow.

Oh Minnie Sue Oz, what a terrible start! However that $490 was money well spent if the treatment was able to get you better so quickly!!

What a horrible health scare!!! Glad you are feel better and I sounds like you are having a great time :)

So glad you got prompt medical attention and recovered so quickly! Now just stay well and enjoy the rest of the trip! :)

Andona

So sorry to hear you're not well, but glad to hear you're on the mend. Lucky you didn't get so sick during the plane trip, that would be my worst nightmare. Enjoy Carsland tomorrow, it is amazing!

It's frightening how fast an infection can disable you - but great to hear the a/bs have kicked in and you are feeling better. As Travel Mum said - even with the cost it's a small price to pay to get better and be able to enjoy the rest of your holiday! Don't push yourself for the next few days, and keep drinking plenty of water.

Look forward to the next (fingers crossed sickness free!) instalment;)

Thanks to all you lovely Disers out there for your kind words and thoughts! it was a very scary thought that our holiday was going to be in ruins, but, I have made a great recovery and we have had THE best time at DCA and Disneyland today!

Would you believe the longest we waited for anything today was 15 minutes in the line at 8.00 this morning for a fastpass for Radiator Sprins Racers???!!!
Yep, DCA was practically empty ( except for all the people in Carsland of course!!! ).

By 10.30am we had done Toy Story, King Tritons Carousel, California Screamin', Silly Symphony Swings, Mickey's Fun Wheel, Goofys Sky School and The Little Mermaid which we rode twice!!!
We also did Monsters Inc, Soarin', Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, saw both Muppets 3D and the Aladdin show and of course Radiator Springs Racers!

We the ducked back over to Disneyland and rode Pirates, Star Tours and the Matterhorn. It was a Halloween party night tonight so Disneyland closed at 7pm. We decided to go back into DCA.....................and so did the thousands of other people who had just left Disneyland.
So, we headed to Ghiradellis for a banana split that was divine, did some pin shopping, took some night time pics in Carsland and headed back to the motel to do some laundry!!!
Our feet our so sore...............it was a huge day but a fabulous one!:goodvibes

Off to LA tomorrow to see The Nightmare Before Christmas in 4D at the El Captain theatre and are hoping to get to Madame Tussauds too and of course a visit to the Disney Soda Fountain!

It is past midnight here so must get some sleep. Hoping to have some down time on Sunday so I will try my very hardest to get some pics uploaded!!!

More soon

Sue

Fantastic, I can't believe how much you got done in one day :thumbsup2
Can't wait to see your photos:)

Brilliant day! I can't believe w much you managed in one day!!! Have fun in LA :)

glad it all worked out, and bladder infections are the worse, so just keep up the fluids and enjoy the trip......looking forward to the pics:thumbsup2

OMG I totally missed this new thread! Was waiting for updates on your PTR :rotfl:

Sounds like you're having an awesome time (and of course I wouldn't expect anything less ;))! And sounds like it's nice and quiet too - would seem even better to you after having Christmas crowds last year!

Terrible to hear that you got sick on the first day  But lucky that you had a great doctor who was able to fix you up so quickly. And, yes, we are often reminded of the need for travel insurance when visiting the US!

I can't wait to hear more updates and read your full TR when you get back (just be sure to let me know where it is :rotfl:) :goodvibes

Jumping in with a quick update!

Wow, we have been super busy! So busy in fact we actually have had a day away from the parks today to try and recoup a little bit! We have been absloutely exhausted so wanted to make sure we are good to go all night at our second Halloween party tomorrow night!

Our day in LA was good and visiting the El Captain theatre and seeing Jack in 4D was simply awesome! They even have a real live organist, just like in the old days! Madame Tussauds was loads of fun too. However, we have decided that we would not visit LA again. It's just blah, once you have been and seen it, it doesn't really need to be done again.

We have nearly crossed off al the attractions in both parks now with just a couple remaining. Still yet to see It's Tough To Be A Bug, we haven't done Splash Mountain yet, and there are a few little others that we will get to a bit later!

We did the Happiest Haunts Tour yesterday which was loads of fun. I would recommend it!

The Hallowen party was sooooooo busy but we managed to haul in 5 kilos of candy ( I weighed it with our luggage scales:rotfl: ) and needless to say we will not be bringing all that home! Laura managed a few pics with Jafar, Genie, Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore. We will not be doing any treat collecting tomorrow night as we don't see the point of getting it when it will only go to waste. Also, this will give us the opportunity to try to get all of the other characters done, fingers crossed. First on the list will be the evil queen as Laura is going as Snow White so that should be a good start! We also want to get Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween outfits. The line for Mickey the other night was just sooooooo long!!! That mouse sure still has some pulling power!!!

I have been taking pictures like mad, so the trip report will be a doozy!!!
Including ALL the food we have had so far too!!!

More soon.......take care:goodvibes

Glad to hear you are having a fabulous trip (despite the infection).

Looking forward to reading your TR when you get home and seeing some photos.

Oh yay, sounds like you are having so much fun :yay:. I totally agree about LA, I'm glad we visited Hollywood etc but don't feel the need to rush back there. Alot of people love it though so different courses for different horses I guess.

Make sure you share a pic of the Snow White costume with us. I hope you do get to have a pic with the evil queen.
