Hi everyone:wave2:

The time has come................tomorrow we will be boarding our VAustralia plane and jetting off to the happiest place on earth for 18 Disney jam packed days!!!

We are super excited to be doing our mother and daughter trip. Especially me as my 15 year old DD is growing up fast and I will treasure this time away with her and look back on it with fond memories forever.............

So, with annual passes ready to go, 2 Mickey's Halloween parties to attend and a list of characters to catch up with, we will be visiting the parks each day.............:cool1: ( yep, total Disneyland geek here with a whole room dedicated to it in my house!!!;)

I will be posting live when I can if you lot would be interested in seeing some Halloween decor and doing the big TR when we return! I will have loads of pictures ( and food porn of course!:thumbsup2 ) to share with you all!

Cheers

Sue:)

How exciting. We always stay for eight or nine days and am always sad to leave.

We too have annual passes and they more than paid for themselves during our stay.

Enjoy every moment with DD15 and can't wait to read along. Where are you staying?

We are staying at the Ho Jo!

Aren't annual passes just great!!! I too believe they pay for themsleves as we got the room for the AP price of just $59.00 per night and with all the charcter breakfasts we are doing....................let's just say we will be saving!!!:cool1:

Glad to hear you will be reading along!:thumbsup2

As for enjoying the time with DD........I can't wait!!!!

Cheers

Sue

i would love to hear about it as you are there and cannot wait for your in depth report when you get back :)

You are a very special lady and i know that you have worked hard to make this trip awesome and i am positive it will be everything you have imagined and more!!

Safe travels :)

Thanks so much to you all for your well wishes and kind words.............it means a whole lot:cloud9:

So, we will be leaving for the airport in around half an hour! I had to sync my phone so thought I would do a quick post!!!

To say we are excited is an under statement! It took me 20 minutes this morning to work out how to change the combination on the suitcase locks, other than that, smooth sailing so far!::yes::

Will try to get another update up at the airport!:thumbsup2

Cheers and thanks again!!!

Sue

Today's the day! I hope you both have a fantastic time. Enjoy the flight, we had a great flight with Virgin Aust in September. And I know you'll enjoy Disneyland, that goes without saying.

Hellllllooooooo!!!!

Oh boy, what a start to our holiday! What is it with the run of us Anzac Diser's getting over here and getting sick???!!! We arrived ok after our flight and got checked in and headed straight down to Disneyland to pick up our annual passes.

We did manage a few rides too before the park closed......Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Snow White, Pinocchio and the Teacups!

Park was closing due to Mickey's halloween party so we walked back to our room. The next 2 hours were a nightmare. I was not feeling too well all that afternoon but put it down to jetlag. How wrong I was. By 7.30 pm I was in total agony and had to call a doctor. It turns out I have a severe bladder infection. So, with a shot in the backside and 2 lots of antibiotics and 12 hours of sleep, I am happy to say I have made just about a full recovery. I was just so worried and am very thankful to the lovely doctor who was very very thorough in making me feel better!

Oh, did I mention it cost me $490.00 for the privelige???!!! Thank the lord for travel insurance!

So, day 2 today and we spent the afternoon at Disneyland after arriving around 1pm. We did manage to do lot as the longest we waited for any ride today was 15 minutes for Roger Rabbit! We walked onto Pirates and we did Winnie the Pooh twice without having to get off! We also did the new Star Tours today too, loved it! Turns out I had to spend the rest of the afternoon with a Star Wars character...............DD is now the proud owner of a Chewbacca hat!!!

Off for a full day at DCA tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing Carsland finally.

Will try to get some pics on in the next couple of days.

Take care

hey sue, sounds like you are having a fabulous time, minus the terrible infection :( omg, the price of seeing a doc is horrendous. i hope your insurance will cover all of it for you!!! so glad you got a lovely doc who has helped you feel better :)

hope you and your DD have a fabulous day tomorrow at Carsland -- Carlo says to say hi and that he is totally jealous of you getting to be at Disneyland :)

Take care of yourself and enjoy the rest of your trip :)
